Election Night - NC FReepers To Invade Raleigh Pub, Cause Ruckus While Watching Returns

Raleigh area FReepers, and those (like me) who don't mind driving a bit:

We are planning to meet once again at Tir na nÓg in Raleigh.

On Tuesday night, November 4, 2002, we are getting together to watch the election returns, and hopefully both the election of Elizabeth Dole to the US Senate and the return of the Senate to GOP control.

We will be meeting around 7 pm in a private room at this pub and will have election result access on TV via satellite.

As always, FReepers in good standing and lurkers are welcome.
I know that some of you may be working at polls, so the start time will be fluid.

Come on out and watch what promises to be a fun, but nerve-wracking, evening with your fellow Freepers.
I hope that it won't be as intense, or as long, as that memorable night in November 2000.
I look forward to seeing some of you there tomorrow night.

I was just at your great Irish Pub on Saturday night after the Yellow Jackets beat the Pack. We watched Georgia get beat by Florida ahich was almost as great. What a great bar!

Have to be in Southeast Raleigh as a poll observer by 6:15 AM...Y A W N...May have to take a nap so I can stay up all night to watch the returns.

For some strange reason, I'm feeling very calm and confident about this election today. This is NOT the way I was in 2000 so I hope it's a good sign. I'll probably be back to my usual "bundle of nerves" by tomorrow night.
