An international organization that normally observes suspect elections in Third World countries will observe U.S. elections in Florida on Tuesday, but no federal and state officials have acknowledged inviting the group.

The observations will be made by the Office of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the State Department has confirmed.

However, a letter obtained last night by The Washington Times from OSCE to the Florida Secretary of State said the invitation came from the State Department.

If the Clintons had so humiliated us, freepers would rightly be screaming their heads off.

What a bunch of garbage, the Corrupt Communist Demorats have reduced our election system to that of a third world banna republic that needs globalist shills to monitor our elections.

DEATH TO THE NEW WORLD ORDER!!!

This is beyond belief! Thank you Clinton/Gore for turning our election process into a banana republic fiasco.

What is the point of this statement?
It is because of the Clinton/Gore regime that this is happening.

It is the Bush administration that has invited foreigners to monitor our elections. It is a short step from monitoring to control.

I love it, I love it... Thank you Gore/Lierman and Klintoon... and SCOFLA ... you know, if the courts had just upheld the LAW, no one would be questioning the integrity of the US elections. We really deserve this slap, though.. LOL

The more the merrier. We have that group, the FBI, and congressional staffers there to monitor the voting. I like it.

It is a short step from monitoring to control.

Maybe the "control" might start by simply admonishing the state "supreme" courts that they ought to follow the laws written by their legislatures... huh?

Since when do we depend on foreigners to admonish our state courts? We used to consider ourselves to be a sovereign country.

the antics of the SCOFLAs two years ago certainly appeared to me, and many others here, to be worthy of a banana republic. perhaps you weren't following the discussion very closely at the time, tho. the Bush administration inviting the FL election process to be treated just like a third world country is a precious slap in the face to the SCOFLAs and the idiocy they allowed. I hope Jimmy Carter is there to help with the monitoring. LOL

"If the Clintons had so humiliated us, freepers would rightly be screaming their heads off."

I do not understand your point.

I live in Florida, and I dont feel humiliated.I feel vindicated. The problems in elections stem primarily from the Democrats. The 2000 Presidential election "problems" were a direct result of arrogant and malicious Democrat sponcered election fraud, and highlighted their contempt for the rule of law.

I find it hugely amusing to have the Democrat party hoisted on its own pitard.Observing the 'rats eat themselves, with the help of an international semi-'rat coalitition under the spotlight is deliciously ironic IMO.

I only regret that I, and many of my fellow citizens, allowed the situation to reach this point before becoming more aware of the chaos in our country and begin to actively work to prevent "clintonion" types to maintain or achieve power.

Next week will be a wild ride. Hopefully the last nail in the coffin of the "New Democrats". I know a few of the "Old Democrats" who will not go along with the party line anymore, out of sincere nausea caused by their "party" leaders.

Perhaps someday we will return to a country who will vote for our leaders based on our judgement of their character, skills, and honestly stated visions.

Untill that time, and it may take a revolution to achieve,I will vote for the person who is less likely to work to turn the USA into a socialist nightmare. That will be the person who I can support at least 65% of the time. And who actually has a chance of winning over the candidate I can only forsee 35% or less, points of ideological compatibility.

Let the 100% "purists" fringe elements of both parties assume their natural positions as .wingers.

In the meantime, untill the revolution,I will vote as a Broken Glass Republican. Not because I agree 100% with the RNC, but I can live with 65%.

So you have given up on the ability of America to govern itself? Perhaps we will have the UN Commission on Human Rights run our elections from now on? I believe Libya was nominated to chair that commission next. Are you looking forward to having Ghadafi decide who will rule America? Perhaps he can bring in his friend Mugabe to help him appoint winners in the election.

This country is all but gone, if even the freepers want to turn over our elections to foreigners.

see post #14 ... this is vindication and penalty. after seeing what has gone on in FL, NJ, SD, MN trashing election law recently, it is clear oversight is needed. perhaps you need to pay more attention.

unfortunately, this coming week(s) we will almost certainly be able to add more states to the list needing oversight.

Perhaps we should just have Kofi appoint our officials? And since crime is so high in many of our cities, maybe we can have him send in a few foreign troops to patrol our streets?

There used to be a time when we all took civics in high school and learned what a good citizen was supposed to do. There was a time when we could be political but also remember the concept of fair play. There was a time when you volunteered to help the community and you did your very best. There was a time when we all had values and obeyed the simple laws of the land.

Where have we gone?

Judges can no longer obey state laws. We have citizens who are totally incompetent and can't even vote correctly. We have volunteers who can't set up simple voting stations. We have idiots from both extremes of politics who are trying to sneak around the system. This is not what America is about. We were once young, pure and had values....what do we have today? This has become so bad that we have to have the FBI to monitor? That we have to invite 3rd world idiots from Algeria to come to the US to watch us vote? Please tell me that this is not true.
