Overnite, two men arrested while sleeping in their car at a reststop in MD. John Mohammed aka John Williams and his stepson Lee Malvo. Mohammad is thought to be the likely shooter.

He is now saying don't breath a sigh of relief because we caught the sniper. Don't say that. There is good news though. I just spend the last few minutes doing the most dangerous thing anyone can say. The ENEMY is ISLAM. Here's the other half of the truth. The truth really is that the enemy is islam, but the solution is also islam. It it the ying to the yang. It is the black to the white. Those who want to burn a mosque are idiots. Islam can solve it. Muslims can solve it. Just as the Renaissance changed the christian world from the period of the crusades, islam hasn't has a Renaissance. The mulims must come to the table and say "hey that is not what the quran says". That Osama Bin Laden has recently been quoted to say that moderate muslims, are also infidels. Not just american. That nonradical muslims are the enemy also, and that bin laden and his dupes are dragging islam back to the dark ages. The solution is for islam to resist being drug back to the dark ages. Islam must cleanse itself of those radical elements that are dragging it back to the dark ages.

i'm with sort of with you on that one......they might have done the dirty work, though...but I just don't believe they were clever enough to come up with the whole thing.....sleeping when the entire nation is watching everything unfold LIVE on every station? "whew...I'm exhausted with this sniping stuff...let's pull over into a rest area off a major highway in Maryland in the car the entire nation is looking for and catch a few zzzzzz.."

If they were living out of a car, I don't see how they could have seen the coverage we've assumed. Makes me wonder if they are being directed by others who are watching it.

I was thinking the same last night....they've been found, at least twice, sleeping along the side of a road....but, how would that give them the ability to view t.v. coverage so well that they would do the opposite of what the media was saying (i.e., children are safe, so a child gets shot; no weekend shootings, so someone gets killed on the weekend, etc.). Doesn't make sense to me....

I don't know about that, I think they're checking in to ties with the Bellingham High Glee Club. It seems Lee Malvo was apparently a Tenor II, but was summarily dismissed because he tended to end each line with, "...mon".

A number of students sided with Malvo and cited racism as a possible factor in his removal from the club. It is not clear, however, whether any threats he or his supporters made were to be taken seriesly.

Well, I don't know that it's that extreme. I think we have the tools just not the mental wherewithal to get down and dirty and use them. I think these two quotes apply:
