An angry letter found tacked to a tree behind a restaurant where the sniper wounded a man this weekend complained of six failed attempts to reach police, and threatened more killings, of children in particular, if millions of dollars were not deposited in a bank account within two days, law enforcement sources said.

The letter listed half a dozen calls that had been "ignored" by operators answering phones at the command center in Rockville, Md., the Montgomery County police station and the FBI. It even named some of the people who had answered the phones.

Consider that what Osama was doing was setting up financing for terrorist operations, and that with him gone, and the progress being made in getting at the AQ funding network, the terrorist cells are probably hurting for cash for operations.

Well, the al Qaeda leadership now have a Battle Plan on how terrorize America. Send snipers to Politically correct/Diversity driven communities in America.

I have also said to put his letter on tv, let the nations newspapers run it and then we can put it on the bulletin board. If this guy went to school in America, some teacher will recognize his hand writing and style.

The unibomber was caught finally after close to two decades by releasing the data they had. The unibomber's brother saw the data and realized that the unibomber was probably his brother. If they had not released that data, he could still be killing people with his bombs.

This sniper knows the DC area very well. Getting around the DC area and escaping after a shooting is not an easy task. So, I have a feeling that he and his friend/friends might have grown up in the area.

You never succeed in life or solve problems unless you try to do something. So far nothing that I have seen even approaches getting out of the PC/Diversity agenda box to try and solve this crime

Talking heads on TV saying why would Sniper wait after 12 shootings to demand money.

Answer is Sniper made contact with FBI agents and they didn't find him credible 5 SHOOTINGS AGO per NEWs sources.

So maybe the demand for money (11 million dollars) might have been on the table after the first 7 shootings but FBI didn't get the fact they were talking to the sniper.

I have seldom seen a less professional display of LE mentality than I have seen on this thread.  Rather than pull together some have opted to criticize one of the lead men in the operation to apprehend the perp.  At once they are more qualified than the Bush administration, the Justice Department, the Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Military Liaison officers, Public School officials, the elected leaders of six different counties involved in this investigation, the LE leadership of these counties and peers in his own department.

Folks, you may not like some of these agencies.  I don't like one of them, intensely.  Who else are you going to call?  Duh!

Chief of Police Moose has a PhD.  He also has a Master's Degree.  In under twenty days he coordinated the smooth development and interactions of a team involving all the above agencies.  This team of bordering community leaders and federal agency officials has devised a plan that is being implemented.  Some of the best LE minds in this nation are involved in this process.

Frankly some of the folks on this thread are embarrassing themselves.  I don't give a damn what your current position is or your past positions have been.  You're ignoring a bevy of facts to make some of the claims you have.  I'm not buying them.  You talk of interdepartmental and extra departmental embarrassment at Chief Moose's actions.  Let me tell give you a little tip folks, nothing I have seen Moose do has even come close the colossal asses you've made out of yourselves on this subject.  Why don't you just crawl back under your rock and high five the other idiots in your department(s) that haven't the wattage to get out of their own way.

Let's do a little assessment here.  You haven't been involved with this investigation at any level.  You haven't sat in on any of the meetings.  You haven't reviewed the evidence.  You don't know what was said during the phone calls.  You haven't read the notes from the perp. You don't know what other bits of evidence have been gathered.  You don't know what tips have been supplied.  You don't know what thought processes have gone into even one decision that has been made in this case.  In short, you don't know didly squat about this investigation.  None the less you consider yourself to be eminantly qualified to damn this police chief based on the fact that you don't like his diction.

Is that about it?  Yep, that's about it!
