Cops Hung Up Phone On Beltway Shooter(!)

An angry letter found tacked to a tree behind a restaurant where the sniper wounded a man this weekend complained of six failed attempts to reach police, and threatened more killings, of children in particular, if millions of dollars were not deposited in a bank account within two days, law enforcement sources said.

The letter listed half a dozen calls that had been "ignored" by operators answering phones at the command center in Rockville, Md., the Montgomery County police station and the FBI. It even named some of the people who had answered the phones.

What the heck have we become?

Um, VICTIMS. That is what we have become.

This sniper is NEVER going to be caught. Moose and his cronies are already thinking about the wrongful death lawsuits from the families after their lawyers get done asking about how all this was handled.

Eventually, without you or I knowing about it, they are going to pay this guy, he will go away, and that will be that.

This is a person who has already decided that what he is doing is worth his death. He knows his odds, and has played upon the unwillingness for people to recognize pure evil. I suspect this person has been a victim of the IRS, or some other agency that pushed him over the edge, but I have no evidence to that effect.

I dont think he will be caught, and after he shoots a child,(probably tommorrow) they will rush to pay him to go away.

That's why they won't release the note...it's too chilling...

Probably says the killer started it all when he snapped because he couldn't take the NJSC decision. His demand is that the Louse resign from the race, and the Torch forced to run. The PCers and Dems assigned to the case realize what that would cost them, and have decided that a few more dead bodies are an acceptable cost and the killer won't have any leverage or reason to kill in just a couple more weeks. This is why Chief Moose has decided to tough it out. Not much could be more chilling than that for this crowd.

Perhaps cutting deals is not the best way to put it I'll admit. They do however appear to be playing his game. Time to stop playing by his rules and tell him he is doomed and will be caught.

None of us are privey to what is all going on behind the scenes but even you have to admit, it does not appear to be going well.

You're right DoughtyOne, I was one of those who directed my anger at Chief Moose, when it was really this murderer who should have the country's anger directed toward.

Chief Moose needs our prayers and encouragement to hold up under pressure being the spokesman for those who are strategizing and making the big decisions to catch this guy. There has to be something of that spirit of 911 to rise again to conquor the stifling fear that grips the East Coast.

We also should hold our congressmen/women feet to the fire for not seeing what has been spoken by the President week after week across the country. How our country is still in danger.

Everyone from the White House to main street USA has observed him, and judged him to be a decent capable individual. Do you think for one minute the feds wouldn't take over this case if they thought he was incompetent?

Oh, please.

Do you think anyone else wants to touch this hot potato? Not to mention the screaming from Blacks if they disparage Moose.

You'll have Jesse Jackson in the street saying more people died because White People didnt support Moose. The guy is out of his league. He is an embarassment. How this person ever became a chief of police is testament to the fact that Affirmative Action does us all harm.

At the very least, he should replace himself with a professional spokesperson, who can at least speak proper English, and spare us the "dis and dat" ebonics from the Moose(head).

They have probably ruined any chance of catching this guy because of all the leaks and the way they have handled their negotiations. If the sniper goes away, they have NOTHING.

They already blew it, and THAT is why Moose is allowed to remain.

I don't care what chief Moose needs. What America needs is a spine and some good old-fashioned righteous anger directed at murderers and the liberal politicians who have made this country such a playground for them.

Valerie, what you say may be true.  His past may be dismal.  He may not have been a good P.C. in Portland.  Now, what does that have to do with this current case?  Perhaps this guy isn't who we'd like to have heading up this investigation, but until you can point to one single problem you have with his current performance on this issue, you should give the guy some slack.  And if the Justice Department, the Secret Service, the FBI and the military all seem willing to work with him, which requires a certain amount of respect, I'd think you could do a little self-assessment and find it in your heart to support the guy as well.  Are you saying you're more qualified to judge his performance than individuals with those agencies who are working with him first hand?  What is this attack on Moose all about?  I don't get it.

We're all frustrated with this situation.  That doesn't mean more could be done than is being done.

He will never go away. You pay him any amount, he will come back. It's become a job to him a way of life. Thru suggestions he decided to work overtime on Saturday to make a point.

He will be caught, there's too much technology that LE and our government have now, that wasn't available before, to not catch this guy. Not only catch him it's just a matter if he will be dead or alive.

The bad guy has not been caught. That's my problem with Moose.
Moose jumped on the moment to catch the spotlight, and now he is stuck under it. Had he jumped on the moment to catch the murderer I might have an ounce of respect for him....

but until you can point to one single problem you have with his current performance on this issue,

Allow me.

What are Moose(head)'s Investigative Credentials? Zip, Zero, NADA! Why is he there? Why are his DETECTIVES not dealing with the sniper?

Because Moose(head) is taking it personal. Remember his tantrum after the first child was shot? Totally unprofessional. Now, Moose(head) is panicked because the sniper has suggested that a child will be next.

There should NEVER have been any airing of any information publically. No leaks, no information until the case is solved. We are not in a need-to-know chain of investigation, and all these press conferences are doing more harm than good.

Moose is a hack, plain and simple.

The criminal may expand to the level of our naivety.

"Be Prepared" is the most bloodless way. We have to rise to the occasion and accept how bad and absurd evil is, stop fretting about it and dig in. We been shot, blown-up...all sorts of things lately, and should not experiment with losing our American freedoms to inhibit savagery in the world.

Roy Rogers would never stand for this.

It's The Invasion of the Body Snatchers...sound the Alarm. Oh right...we don't have an Alarm

Whoops! Be aware. People do not like to have truth placed before their eyes here. Certain elites are exempt from this kind of treatment because some favorites are more equal than others.

Few find truth useful to give perspective on a public person. Whatever Chief Moose is or isn't if he strives to have the truth concealed he is not worth following and it becomes very revelatory so far as his character is concerned.

It is up to the reader to determine whether this is truth and to use this puzzle piece without malice or ranquor to inform rather than to destroy.

I hope we are not being our often pc selves.
