What are the chances that the cards and note and phone booth carry the scent of the shooter and them awesome sniffin' dogs can nail these folks. Suppose these guys that they picked up are connected. Could they have "stuff" in their vehicle that the cops can use for tracking if they go back to the scenes.

CNN said that one source thought the note was a demand for money. The implication is that these people were just trying to take advantage of the situation and thought they could somehow collect a ransom.

We'll see what Montgomery Co. has to say. I imagine the real cell was pretty upset if these yahoos were horning in.

That makes much more sense. The Henrico county government center is about 2 miles from the phone booth. That's where the county jail is.

I'm trying to convince myself that the vague and somewhat garbled information we're getting is designed to communicate with the snipers not the general public.

I haven't been able to keep up with this thread, but I suspect that somehow in the response from Chief Moose there will be mention of the detainees in Gitmo. Just a hunch. No factual basis behind it...

That is what I think too. It is an ideology or cause that drives these killers is isn't money.
