Very short press conference where he simply states that the Beltway Sniper attempted contact and Chief Moose requested that he call them back.

I don't think it really matters much where the note was found in the whole scheme of things.

What does matter is the Shooter is playing cat and mouse with LE and Moose is between a rock and a hard place.

CNN coverage is much better tonight , fox is way off base and keep saying things that are not not known.CNN carried it live and keep replaying it.

I was shocked. I don't recall Fox being in this position before. Both Fox and CNN women kept saying they got a message from the sniper. They finally got themselves squared away after many had gone off on theories of why the sniper was trying to talk with police. Geeez. I bet Brit Hume is furious and there will be a meeting. Fox didn't even have the press conference and didn't catch up to for at least 10-15 meetings. What screw-ups.

The logic of Moose's comments to the "sniper" is conclusive proof of why it is important to have a master's degree in urban studies to be a police chief. Geez.....

Correction: It was the sheriff of Hanover Co VA who was mentioned in the news conference. Not the chief of police.

I believe the name given for the Sheriff was Stewart Cook.
