Beltway Sniper attempted contact last night !

Very short press conference where he simply states that the Beltway Sniper attempted contact and Chief Moose requested that he call them back.

The sniper left a note and asked them to put a certain phone number into service (maybe a phone number the sniper will easily remember or the phone number spells something out). The cops have now put the number into service and it is working as a direct link to maybe Chief Moose. They are letting the sniper know that his request has been done and it completed. Now they want him to call. --brigette

I think that is a superb idea myself. If you know any way to forward that suggestion to the appropriate parties, you ought to do it.

I doubt the sniper is as stupid as Moose seems to be. The sniper would have to be out of his mind to walk into a restaurant at which he will shoot a person. Almost all restaurant now days have security cameras. sounds like a practical joke by a sicko and Moose fell for it.

MOOSE NEVER SAID IN WHAT FORM THIS "MESSAGE" WAS LEFT. Excuse me for yelling, but while Moose has bungled some press conferences, without knowing any more facts than we do, none of us are in any position at this point to criticize him on this one.

His delivery of what he's authorized to say is another matter. Bush sounds like a real orator compared to Chief Moose.
