Nice to know that theories on who the sniper are now determined by public opinion instead of evidence.

I can't take a quick one...it takes me a few minutes to even get ready....(recovering from foot surgery).....I need lots of time!

That's a good point as well. You can never know when someone is shot whether they'll live or die, espcially a torso shot. Some people have died after being shot in the leg or arm, others have survived a head shot the went right through the brain. Suffice to say that any shot into a head or torso is usually a death shot. If someone lives through it, they were lucky or God hadn't called them yet.

It got kinda crazy over there and buy the 2700th post they were arguing the Constitution, God and calling each othernames. Some of us just "chatted" over here for a while (besides we couldn't type as fast as they could over there (right, tk?)
Anyway, I'm just thankful the man shot last night is still alive. And if this guy can hit headshots what's with last night?
Gotta go. You all have a wonderful day.

"we know nothing at this time." Add to that: "it wouldn't be appropriate at this time."

nice to see FR's chief AQ apologist dropped in to make the troll quota for the day ...

it seemed obvious to me that it was a MIRACLE the 13 yo survived. Under any other circumstances, he should've and would've died. True, but I also thought that, since it's obvious they're listening to the media, they would wait until they found out about the condition of current victim (which there were pauses in between after the first 6 or so); then plan accordingly. It wasn't likely this would be the case, but possible.

You're right..MSNBC reporterette just said that The Moose is heading up the joint task force....sigh!

Maybe they could get a description of the shooter through hypnotism.

This is tourist country. Unless your photographing National Monuments, etc.., no one really notices. I'm more inclined to think still photos as you can reposition yourself very easily and no one would notice.
I do a lot of photography on historical sites in my area and mark them "facing north" "facing south" etc..
They need to see the position of the cameras on these buildings, walks, steps, etc. and that's tough on video but easy with stills. They can zoom them via computer, etc..

Don't know if the Feds should be managing this or the State Police (X2). I certainly don't think the head honcho should be Moose.
To: mystery-ak
I'd say Moose is "figure-heading" the Task force.

It'd also be nice to know they're not dismissing, out-of-hand, with no proof, the possibility this is terrorist-related, as has been the case for the past week. Until it is known what is going on, they shouldn't be ruling out, and stating as impossible (as some have), that this could be a terrorist operation.
To: mystery-ak; A Citizen Reporter
How come he gets to head that task force? Why isn't it the Virginia State Police, or Prince George's County? Who appointed him head?
Is it just because he got there first?
ACR, I agree with you about John Walsh. I think he is mainly trying to promo his show, and terrorism wouldn't fit into his agenda. He actually said the other day that he was convinced that his show would break the case with a citizen tip. Blech.
May I also say, listening from the other room, that Tony Snow has only one tone of voice, and it remains the same whether he finds something humorous or enraging. The only way you can tell what he's thinking is to look at him while he's talking.

Bill Kristol on now filling air time.
To: livius
your reasoned comments help to make the point i was getting at re 'patterns'.
why not a combination of views, to wit:
first batch had been scouted and setup for rapid execution;
subsequent attacks can be done on the fly, tactics having already been proven.

MSNBC reporterette said The Moose is heading it because most of the shootings were in his county....I don't buy it!

Good point! Actually, I have a little digital camera that takes 80-sec. videos - and you can freeze the frames...
