why not a combination of views, to wit:
first batch had been scouted and setup for rapid execution;
subsequent attacks can be done on the fly, tactics having already been proven.

Very possible that once they'd worked it out and found how successful it was, they could do it with much less advance work. I guess they would have built up enough "experience" by then - ugh!

I could agree with that...Perhaps the southern shots could be on the fly as they are "really" familiar with the area. About 30 miles between Frederickburg and Ashland..that's the distance to my daughter's house.
I think they're holed up in Virginia near Fredericksburg.
What were the different sites (gas station ???etc) in Virginia??
