Hanover County Shooting [Ashland, Virginia- North of Richmond]

Just reported. Took place outside of a Ponderosa Steakhouse. Not sure if it is related or not at this time. Police have shut down parts of I-95.

I heard FOX reporting that the weapon appears to be smaller than a .223 round. I was talking to someone on Thurs and we speculated that the 'quiet' period may be due to the LE response. I don't put any credence in the reports of the 'U-Turners', but at the same time I do believe that LE got close and maybe the shooter(s) got a little spooked. With the weapon type reports tonight I am further convinced the LE got closer than they know and perhaps the .223 had to be ditched. We may never see that ballistics match again.

That's what makes your report extremely interesting. Suggests either a reason they would think the sniper might pass through there, or is related to something else. My guess is the former, but the latter is potentially quite scary(and would point towards terrorism).

No that theory is still valid. They made their little 9-1-1 statement had a significant break in the time period of the shootings. That was the "period" now they're making a new list.

Also, one shot to the stomach; Fox reporting firing may have been done from tree line behind restaurant. Several people HEARD shots.

I'd check the tapes of the buildings all around the Ponderosa for the last couple of days and talk to the landscape maintenance people, too.

I think it's important to know ASAP when the roads are blocked, so innocent people in that area can get off or avoid them, for their own safety. The way these searches are being done, this thing could turn into a highway massacre.

The first guy the feds called after 9/11 was Steven Emerson, who wrote Jihad in America, and his book says there are more terrorist sleeper cells here than anywhere else in the world. WTOP: victum shot 100 yards in back of Ponderosa going to car. Shot came from behind restaurant from wooded ara being developed. Bullet not recovered, yet. Wife heard a shot and husband started falling over. Happened so fast.

Victum is not from Virginia, a traveler.

The entire FBI can't find one shooter and or terror cell behind all these killings.

Actually, it is far easier for one man to plan, strike, and hide.

A group of men who conspire to carry out a scheme are far more vulnerable to being found out and foiled in their attempt. The FBI had good enough intelligence to stop the 9/11 crew but failed. They apparently have no intelligence about this shooter. But we'll see.
