A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10/17/02

President Bush headed on the campaign trail once again today as he took a day trip to Georgia and Florida. While in Georgia, Bush stumped for Georgia gubernatorial candidate Sonny Perdue and senatorial candidate Saxby Chambless at a Republican fund-raiser in Atlanta. The President then headed to Florida, and was greeted by his brother, Jeb. President Bush promoted reading at Read-Patillo Elementary School in New Smyrna Beach and later spoke via satellite to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I have wondered sometimes if we don't hear much about Neil and Doro because the family really prefers not to be in the limelight. Of course, when you are President or a governor that can't be avoided. But I would bet that the family bends over backwards to keep the others out of range of the media as much as possible.

Sister Dorothy often joins GWB in Kennebunkport. She was there during the recent weekend visit with her family.

Do you think Jeema Catta will return his Nobel Peace Prize? considering they based their decision in part for his and Bill Clinton's "Triumphant" success in 1994 when they were able to reach a monumental diplomatic solution that haulted the Nuclear Weapons program N. Korea was about to undertake and it was Jimmy Carter who was willing to sit down with the Dictator and convince him to promise not to continue the weapons program and allow inspectors in in exchange for 6 billion dollars worth of our latest nuclear power plants and economic aid.

But I would bet that the family bends over backwards to keep the others out of range of the media as much as possible.I think that's probably true. Marvin and Doro live in the DC area; Neil lives in Texas (and has a high profile model daughter); and Jeb, of course, lives in FL. It seems like each of them decides how visible they want to be, and the rest of the family respects that.
Of course, except for Noelle and Neil's daughter, none of them have gotten involved in high profile adventures - as if we could compare a modelling career to a drug conviction - (or do we have to discuss Neil's term on the Board of Silverado again? )

Thank you, rintense, and others. I couldn't even remember the Bush brothers' sister's name (Dorthy). I can't remember seeing her since election night in 2000. The press sometimes mentions Lauren (I believe is her name; the model niece), but little of the others.
Of course, Jeb's daughter is on the news nearly nightly. I can't imagine Al Gore's son or Clintoon's daughter(?) having to show up in open court as Noel has. As heartbreaking as her drug addiction must be to them, the family have not white-washed it nor swept it under the rug. Can't think of another public figure whose child has appeared in open court as Noel has. To me, this is just another example of their honesty and character. This could have been wiped out, and few wouldn't have known the difference -- except them.

How true, Humal.
Naybe we all better go over to Jeb's site and send him a message to let him know we're praying for his daughter. Does anyone know for sure how she spells her name?

I love these guys.Once more for good measure!
I can't help but notice how much more somber the brothers were at this greeting than they usually are. I don't have an 'airport meeting' pic to post, but they usually are joking around a bit more. Serious times.
Pray for Jeb's election........The good guys have to win in November........

I think it's just Noel.

If I recall .. Al Gore's son did have a few court dates .. but the media pretty much ignored it

I can't help but notice how much more somber the brothers were at this greeting than they usually areWell I think the news about Noelle just broke this morning, so it may have been Dubya's first chance to give Jeb a 'big brother' hug for love and support. I admire the Bushes for not sweeping these things under the rug; not that the media would DO it as they did for algore and x42's progeny!

Drat! There's no email address listed for Jeb.
But if anyone wants to write or call him, here's the info:
Jeb Bush Governor
850 / 488-4441
Executive Office of the Governor
400 S. Monroe Street
The Capital
Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0001
By the way, his daughter's name is spelled Noelle.
I'm writing to him NOW. I think anyone who is so worried about his daughter needs to know people are praying for her.
