Yep, and I will make another prediction.

When they start closing in on him, he is going to surrender. It is not in his interest to go down fighting. That would allow the media and the pro-Islamic types to sweep everything under the rug and forget it.

He is going to want a soapbox, make statements, get TV time, etc.

William Chambliss, a criminologist and sociology professor at George Washington University, said terrorists typically own up to their deeds fairly soon after they strike. They also tend to direct their actions at symbols, like the Pentagon or the federal building in Oklahoma City.

"Those are the kinds of acts that terrorists typically engage in, so then in no way does this appear to be a terrorist act," he said.

William Chambliss is an ass. What is a commuter bus in Israel? What's that a symbol of? What's a marketplace in Tel Aviv? What's a nightclub in Berlin? What's a passenger ship from Italy? What's a resort in Indonesia? What are those symbols of? You stupid moron, if you are an American, you ARE a symbol to raghead islamofascists the world over. A symbol of the superior freaking civilization.

Sorry, but man this guy is a dummy.

Not only is this title incorrect, it is also misleading with the use of the word "concedes".

Absent hard evidence about motivation, the Bush administration is considering the possibility that foreign or domestic terrorists

ME terrorism , ELF, ALF, Peace-nick anti-war nut cases, ........
Liberals go nuts when they're out of power. Hope they're looking at these groups, too.

Well, no kidding? That's what Freepers have been saying all along.

Not saying I'm ruling this out, but freepers have said a lot of things ranging from all government is bad to the complete legalization of crack.
Either way, I hope the government kills this guy.

There was an ex-military sniper expert on Fox today. He said it was two domestic losers who make up this sniping team. That all their shots are not difficult ones. That they are sniper wanabees who could never hack it in our armed forces as a sniper.

He said their forte was planning and planning for escape.

The actual headline of this story at Fox is "Terrorism a Possibility Behind Shootings," a much better and more accurate one than the one presented here: "White House Concedes Sniper May Be Foreign Terrorist."

"[C]onsidering the possibility that foreign or domestic terrorists are behind the sniper slayings" is a far cry from "concedes."

Whether these acts are designed specifically to create terror or just some warped thrill killings, some cat-and-mouse game with law enforcement, they have the effect of creating terror. But let's be awfully careful about assigning or even suggeting blame until we get more evidence. Heck, we don't even know if the Tarot card found is connected to the murders or just a bizarre coincidence. At this point, we really know nothing. Nothing should be ruled out, of course, nor should any agent be assumed.

Does this mean there's more than one team? More than one truck? Starting to look like a military operation.

Of course its terrorism. It fits perfectly with al-Qaida's stated mission to prove we are vulnerable and will now be victimized on our own soil. It is a continuing war of emotional destruction waged every minute of every day on every citizen in the affected area. This is far more successful than simply blowing up something. This affects the economy, citizen morale, government operations, police operations, and is even now threatening to affect aspects of military operations as the pentagon has to divert resources to help catch him. This is a bomb that just keeps exploding, growing more devasting each day. Only a fool would think it not terrorism. Are they willing to re-write psychological profiling and throw out all the textbooks just to accomodate this attacker as not being a terrorist? The people can take the truth. We know we're at WAR.

It's about time.

All along I have said that this could be a small cell (alQaeda) working on their own.

The day the U.S. government admits that these are Middle Eastern terrorists is the day the U.S. government already has the perps in custody. They can then stage an "arrest" a few days later, after everything has been quiet for a few days.

Nobody in government is ever going to admit that there is a group of foreign invaders in this country that has been trained, financed, and supplied right here.

considering the possibility that foreign or domestic terrorists are behind the sniper slayings of nine people in and around the nation's capital.

Hmmm, foreign or domestic terrorists, guess that covers it.

Report is now the Pentagon and U.S. Army Aviation will be involved. It may most likely be an Army OV-1 Mowhawk.

terrorism experts say the shootings should not be classified as terrorist acts because the sniper has not given a reason for the shootings

They haven't been doing that lately anyway, except in Israel/Palestine. Except for the Tarot card and brass in one case, which might have not been left by the shooter anyway, there have been no claims. Don't know if it's causing terror, but it has affected business receipts in the area.
