Man inserts firecracker in his penis to protest war

My husband heard on Bill Cunningham talk radio in Cincinnati that a war protestor inserted a firecracker in his penis and threatened to light it.
Has anyone heard of this bazaar incident? I have to find this unusual story for my Bulldog Bulletin.

I would like to know if the firecracker was red or blue. If he was fair skinned I would have gone with the blue, it brings out the highlights in the veins.

Hmmmmm. When I was a kid there was a tiny little firecracker called a 'ladyfinger.' I'm NOT making this up!! I remember those, they were meant to be set off all at once in the bundle. Great little noisemaker. If you had a long enough string of em, it seemed like they would never quit going off.
