Yep, if I knew there was any type of medical facility nearby I would definitely drive my daughter there. Any doctor would know more about immediate treatment than I would (how to stop the bleeding, etc.).

Just last night I was saying to my husband that if we lived up there, I wouldn't be sending the kids to school today. All weekend the police were on the TV saying how the schools are safe, even that they would be allowing outside recess today! Is there any REASON why this should be broadcast throughout the country?

That's NOT what I said. Reread my post. I specifically implied one city near your child's school, with multiple shootings. NOT multiple cities, just multiple shootings near your childs school.

Really? And what military training or cultish devotion did the kids who shot up a few schools awhile back have? For that matter, what reason did they have?

The profilers on TV, for what it's worth, are leaning toward the "thrill" kill, rather than organized terrorist attacks..Cat and mouse.

Serial Killer - Usually kills the same "type" of person, over and over again, like prostitutes, women who look similar.

The school was right beside US 50. Its a freeway from New York Avenue in DC (practically the MD/DC border) to the Eastern Shore. Connects with the I-95/495 and I-295/MD 295. I-495 takes you right to Montgomery County, and is about 7 miles from the school.
