Both are beside the point. ok, whatever...
my guess is, it starts happening in your town, to your kids (if you have any),
you'll begin to shi'ite yourself, but that's just M not so HO, tough guy.
as someone else a ways back said, i'm not scared for me.
since my chest got cracked last year, the writing's on the wall anyway.
but i DO have a family, and am just really pissed.
it's time for these sonsabitches to die,
and the sooner it starts happenin', the better off we'll all be.
disclaimer = if i've jumped to a conclusion re you, apologies in advance...

What special training? Drive to the end of a shopping mall, crack the door, shoot someone a hundred or so yards away, close the door, drive away, get a different vehicle, do it again? It appears that this is what is happening.

Besides wishing for the capture of the shooter(s), I HOPE that these shootings are being committed by terrorists of the islamic persuasion. I think the scales might drop from more than a few eyes... I agree with you completely. It's unfortunate, but I think a large majority in this country won't "get it" until we have another terrorist attack, whatever form that takes. And if these shootings are Islamic extremist terrorism, it's the kind that's nearly impossible to stop, and therefore, all the more frightening, despite the relatively low number of victims compared to 9/11.

"Can a 22LR shoot from 75 yards?" The distance isn't the problem, it would be the footpounds of energy that it would deliver at that range. I have killed rabits at that range, but it would be doubtful that you could kill a person at that range with 22lr
Depends where you place the bullet. My brother actually killed a dog at about half that distance with a shot from an old 22 revolver. A good rifle with the high velocity ammo could kill a man at 100 yards.

For what it is worth, it may appear the boy shot was black. There are photos on yahoo of friends of his relatives crying, and they are black. But that doesn prove anything specifically. We'll have to see....

Tough guy?
What the hell brought THAT on?
Maybe you should relax a little.

To keep everyone happy, I've been trying to call it Islamic extremist terrorism. Shall we nickname it IET? Of course incidents like the shootings in MD are terrifying and some form of terrorism, no matter who is doing it. But typically, in this forum, when someone says simply terrorism, I know what they mean. But even in this forum, some have complained when people type terrorism. Let's call it IET.

I feel really horrible for the mom but she should have had a cell phone and called 9-11 instead of using her car as an ambulance. The cops lost time locating the terrorists while she was driving to the hospital. I know, we do different things when we were in a crisis situation.
That's a pretty callous comment.
I'm real sure you would do it differently if you were in the same situation.

"As I said if this Homeland Security covering their asses and not coming clean..."WHAT office of Homeland Security? There IS no Homeland Security yet. Tom Dachshund has it tied up in the senate still.

I think we have to be careful of how we use the word "terrorist." I think we are simply trying to create the one profile that the experts, the authorities and the media don't seem to want to touch on.

but I think a large majority in this country won't "get it" until we have another terrorist attack You are absolutely right! I have been saying this since about mid-December, when the PC crowd starting running their month.
They don't get it! Sad to say, but I'm not sure even another terrible attack on this Country will open their eyes.

I think we are simply trying to create the one profile that the experts, the authorities and the media don't seem to want to touch on. I, for one, don't want to settle on that profile just yet. It could be an Al Qeada job, or it could be a nutjob. The worst thing would be to jump to the wrong conclusion.

"Did someone hear two shots?"Not likely, but it could be 2 shooters...3 2 1 Fire!

Your compassion was commendable.....
There are a lot of misnomers on this thread regarding weapons, ballistics etc. being slung around as fact....
Unfortunately, I don't have the time or energy to correct them....Long rang shooters deal in 750yards or better... From the reports that have surfaced from the police, the sniper is between 100 and 200 yards....
My eleven year old son could handle those shots with ease....
The "sniper" obviously had some training. Not necessarily because of his weapon handling but because of his tactics....His escape route is pre-planned, He's well concealed prior to he shot and he leaves no signature.
If the theory of the sniper being concealed in a van and is being assisted by a spotter, the sniper is not a crazed criminal but moves into the realm of a terrorist. Is it Al Queda? We won't know the definitive answer to this until they leave some type of calling card.
But answer this question....How many local murders (even spectacular ones like this), make it to the Office of the President for regular briefings.....There's smoke here but the fire is still concealed.....

Don't know if it is posted but today's body shots are suggesting that with all the heat, the sniper is keeping more distance. It looks that way; after the shooting in Fredericksburg, in which the victim survived, the first stories said LE didn't think it was the same weapon -- they were wrong. The weapon didn't change, but something else did.
