The PG County Chief of Police said the child was dropped off and the aunt was driving away when she noticed he was slumped over. So yes, the child was just getting out of the car.

Maybe switching motels, cars. Folks see them going to work in the AM and coming home in the evening....Nothing unusual (except they don't really have a job or free lance).

I think the last two shots, (Friday & Monday) which were not "head" shots were by a "second" sniper and thus the difference in the "perfection" of the early "kill" shots. The second guy may be on the run because he may have been seen by the boy so we'll likely see "kills" again and the first "expert" sniper take over again or a new "third" sniper.

According to some earlier posts the Wal Mart shooting was a rumor or false report not sure which but as regards the rest of your comments"IF" this is an Islamo-facist eve4nt then we can certainly expect more such events over the next months and in more urban areas the DC Metro area. I am glad to know your own Dept is going on full alert for any such incidents I would hope alll PD's nationeide do the same. Agreed that there are other groups out there who might have a motivation to do acts but I have not yet seen the distinguishing characteristics that normally are associated with either hard left or hard right groups. The E&E done by the sniper(s?) seems to be the distinguishing characteristic here which to me indicates a hard core of diciplined behavior in planning his/her routes out. So far I have seen nothing to indicate anything other than an Al Qaeda op.

Not true. Military training is NOT required to be a good shot...all that's required is a good eye, or a deadeye, which many people are simply born with.

As for cultish devotion to an ideal being an absolute requirement to overrule the natural conctraints of human concience, that isn't entirely true either. People who just kill for the thrill are frequently sociopaths. They have no concience and no empathy or sympathy for other beings at all.

I'm not saying this isn't an Islamofascist...just that it might not be. After all, there are surely Islamofascists who also happen to be sociopaths, and choose that bloody way of life because it 'suits' them. We don't have enough information.

You can add this to your list for today's cruddy news.... Some kind of substance attack, chemical?, who knows, a few hours ago in Tokyo. Does not appear major, yet, but you can imagine the mindset here after sarin on the loose about nine years ago.... No deaths, but a number of people sick, and taken to hospitals. They complained of sickness; was in the nightclub district of Shinjuku in Tokyo.

I think we have to be careful of how we use the word "terrorist." A nutjob spreads terror, but his motive is more along the lines of self-gratification. A true terrorist is intent on spreading terror, as a means to some other end.

So, no. I don't think we can simply call it "terrorism."
