For what it is worth ....Rush thinks this will go to USSC

Probably worth less than the two cents in my right pocket.

Bump to that. The fact that the "Torch" even said that in his so-called withdraw speech. Republicans would do well to point this out to the sheeple of america that the reason why Torricelli droped out was because he was going to LOSE. and the dems don't want to lose control of the senate.

If it goes to the USSC, then it was probably intended to go to the USSC.

I recommend that some of us, when we are phoning the NJ SC, note that we are registered Libertarian, and that the percentage of votes we get, and therefore, how well we are recompensed (matching funds, etc.), postion on the ballot, and other such "equal protection" items, will be affected by a change on the ballot from the LEGAL candidate, Torch...

The Republicans should ask if they can substitute Tom Kean if it appears that Forrester is losing to Lautenberg.

It depends on what the statement, "shall not be made" means.

Chief Justice is employing nauseating, Clintesque twisting of language..."51 days out is not the same as 51 days in..."

ARGH!

If they're Dems they may march lock-step to the polls & vote for Lautenberg--it depends on what kind of a campaign he puts on to woo the dems back home. Or are they just fed up with all the legal hijinks and will say, "to hell with it?

Wish they were fed up but no such luck. Don't recall who conducted the vote (believe ABC) but it was reported that 60% of the voters in NJ want a RAT on the ticket.

Wouldn't it be great if later today, the Libertarian party filed saying they wanted to replace their candidate because she couldn't win?

That's the perfect question. I can't believe they didn't ask that! (Did they?)

Two of these Judges are contributors to Torch's campaign. They should recuse themselves.

Before we all go and jump off bridges, we should remember that losing the case does not mean losing the election. Lautenberg still has to win, and that might not be so easy.

Of course they didn't recuse themselves.

Just called (1-609-292-4837) and mentioned my amazement that they had not recused themselves, given the obvious conflict of interest due to their campaign contributions.

Sounds like this Kangaroo Court made up its mind long ago. Perhaps some of Torch's "trash hauler" friends paid them a visit prior to the hearing?

HElllooooo dumb judge that is because IT'S LAW AND ONE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO DROP OUT JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE.
