I'm on the njn.net feed, but I qued it up around 9:45 and waited.

The libertarian really did an excellent job.

Notice the Justices sense weakness with this attorney and are playing devil's advocate with him.

Charles Krauthammer had the best argument about this silly notion of "choice". If that's the case, what about House members that are running unopposed? This choice stuff is asinine.

Someone somewhere needs to find the libretarian lady's speech and post it. It was awesome. And I'm not even a libretarian.

Exactly, Torricelli said that he is withdrawing because he wants the dems to retain control of the senate. WE have every reason to believe that if he wins, he will serve!!!!

This lawyer who is up now just made the argument I made on a thread yesterday.

That if Toricelli's name was not taken off the ballot, and he wins he would say the people have chosen and accept the election.

I will find my comment.

Thanks...at least he is getting some questions...seems the Libertarian women had them tongue-tied...guess they didn't like her "money can buy lots of things" and "rule of law" arguments, eh ?

He's now bringing up that no one ran against the Torch in primary, and that Toricelli (after the deadline) is legally bound to remain on the ballot

Can't find the cite for this...Justice seems to be trying to help him out (not sure which Justice this is, but he was most favorable towards the Republican lawyers)

It looks like a good 1-2 punch was set up between the GOP and the Libertarians.

Maybe we need a temporary Republican/Libertarian coalition of convenience to win this seat.

Yep she even said that the democrats willingness to pay for the new ballots was evidence of their attempt to buy the election.

We are in some SERIOUS trouble! Republican (little r) government is no longer understood by the citizenry. Even sadder, now it appears that it is not understood by our courts!

Can anyone tell me whether the two Rat judges that gave cash to The Torch recused themselves?

No. They're DNC team players.

I'm usually as optimistic as you are being.

I'm usually wrong too.

If the Libertarians were unable to pay the cost of new ballots if their candidate was polling badly and they wanted to substitute a more popular one, would the Libertarians be prevented from obtaining "relief"?

It goes in the courtroom, IMHO.

The key is to hammer "bait and switch" Democrats from now until November 4.

Of course they didn't recuse themselves. Only Republicans have to do that. Doesn't apply to Democrats.

No. They're DNC team players.

And I'm SURE they will be able to set aside any partisan feelings and write a fair remedy for "the people"
