September 17, 2002 -- NEW Jersey voters already concerned about Sen. Robert Torricelli's low ethical threshold now learn that he's been a paid shill for a group the government identifies as a terrorist organization. Called on this by his Republican opponent, Douglas Forrester, in a debate Thursday, Torricelli said the group had been pulled from the State Department's global terror list and given a clean bill of health. Not true.

All of the rats in the Senate and many in the house supported the KLA thugs/terrorists.

Now we are finding many of those thugs with direct links to al Qaeda and fund raising for al Qaeda.

Those KLA lusters need to be dragged out into the opening during the Clintoon's wag the Dog show.

Defeat the Torch this November, and all is forgiven.

Torrecilli is toast. He can't get off the mat after this one.

I hope you are right, but my guess is that major media will gloss over this story... Forrester needs commercials, and money to exploit this... let's face it, no one watches these debates.

Tell you what GrandPa Dave,

If we extinguish the Torch in November, everybody's invited to my house to celebrate.
Just head East, toward the Atlantic Ocean, turn up I-95, and stop somewhere in the middle of the state.....then follow the noise......the happy noise.....

Torricelli is really just a typical lawyer: corrupt, arrogant, thieving, lying, narcissistic, manipulative and evil to the core. 53 members of the Senate are members of the verminous lawyer industry (53%!!!)

Lawyers in the Senate: Mitch McConnell (R - KY) Thad Cochran (R - MS) Robert Byrd (D - WV) Chris Dodd (D - CT) Mike Castle (R - DE) Joe Biden (D - DE) Tom Harkin (D - IA) Dick Durbin (D - IL) Peter Fitzgerald (R - IL) John Breaux (D - LA) John Kerry (D - MA) Mike DeWine (R - OH) George Voinovich (R - OH) Rick Santorum (R - PA) Jack Reed (D - RI) Pat Leahy (D - VT) Evan Bayh (D - IN) Kay Hutchison (R - TX) Joe Lieberman (D - CT) Carl Levin (D - MI) Chuck Schumer (D - NY) Ron Wyden (D - OR) Russ Feingold (D - WI) Tim Johnson (D - SD) Jeff Sessions (R - AL) Daniel Inouye (D - HI) Sam Brownback (R - KS) John Edwards (D - NC) Ben Nelson (D - NE) Jeff Bingaman (D - NM) Hillary Clinton (D - NY) Mike Crapo (R - ID) Harry Reid (D - NV) Gordon Smith (R - OR) Orrin Hatch (R - UT) Earl Pomeroy (D - ND) George Allen (R - VA) Bill Nelson (D - FL) Fred Thompson (R - TN) Trent Lott (R - MS) Ted Kennedy (D - MA) Pete Domenici (R - NM) Jim Jeffords (R - VT) Ted Stevens (R - AK) John Warner (R - VA) Paul Sarbanes (D - MD) Arlen Specter (R - PA) Fritz Hollings (D - SC) Richard Shelby (R - AL) Jon Kyl (R - AZ) Kit Bond (R - MO) Bob Graham (D - FL) Max Baucus (D - MT)

But we get to celebrate 3 hours earlier!!!!

Do you think Simon has a shot? Very similar situation ( except Grey-out Davis isn't as much a slug as the Torch....he's just flat out incompetent....might be a campaign slogan in some areas.....)

Good Luck over there!

Now will the Forrester Camp do anything about it? I doubt it...They can always raise the gas tax.

Coleus,
Doug has been hammering away at this since last week. You can't blame him if the press doesn't put it front and center...but please don't trash the candidate without the facts. We have enough of that coming out of Torch's camp.

Also, please see Politico2's post ( #45 ).
Thank you.

Make sure he uses the word "lower" when it precedes the word tax. And, believe me, I am not trashing the candidate. I do want the man to win and the little jabbing I do on the FR won't cost him the election. I wish I had such power. You ought bo be lucky I didn't write a letter to the editor to 30 papers in NJ as I almost did. Remember have him use the word "lower" when he talks about taxes. It's a sensitive issue among the moderate to conservative republican, it may not be for the republicrats like Tom Kean but it is to us.

Also, with this mundane Superfund Issue, Doug should have let sleeping dogs lie. He is trained in sales and should have said to the torch and editorial review board, "That's a good position Torch I can understand how you feel about that maybe using the general funds is a good idea" That would have been it. It would have been a moot issue. No major articles about the gas tax, no damage control, who really cares how it's going to be paid? Not many New Jersians. We are worried about high property and high income taxes, too much govt. building our military (with or without a dedicated tax). How come Doug never mentioned a dedicated tax for his support for increasing the military? Because we don't care, just like the superfund sites. We have to pay for it anyway, most of the money comes from social security tax.

That would have been a good retort to the torch...Yes Torch I am against what you propose to do-- using social security money to pay for superfund cleanups......

The Social Security fund and the general fund are one in the same.

Now what is Doug going to do to let the State know about the torch's mob and terrorist associations?????That is how Doug will win. And make sure he has a plan to "lower" taxes. Where was Doug during the Schundler Campaign? I never saw him.

And when will we ever get some lawn signs?? I am in charge of putting them up in my town. Just think, by driving around my town putting up signs I will be burning gas and paying gas taxes to refil my tank :-)

Torricelli is like a political Dracula. To be sure he's dead you have to pound a wooden stake throuugh his heart. Torricelli's heart is a very small target, but this just may be the wooden stake. Forrester first brought it up in the last debate with the Torch. The events described in the article -- the statement that he "misspoke" -- came the very next day.

What happens in New Jersey is very important to the defeat of Li'l Tommy Daschle, knocking him off his phone book on the Majority Leader's chair, if you will. And FReepers can play a part.

All the Democrat candidates for Senate who are tied or down in their races are making the same argument as the Torch, "Vote for me or the nasty Republicans will take over the Senate." But if Torricelli goes down FIRST, that argument by all the others becomes hollow and ineffective. Once Torricelli is gone, so is Daschle.

SO, FREEPERS, BE READY T0 DO THIS: The minute that Drudge or anyone else breaks the embargo (at about 3:30 p.m., EST) on the exit poll results and it's known that Torricelli is toast, get the word out immediately. Get it on FreeRepublic. Get it on all possible major chat rooms. And urge everyone who hears the news to GET IT ON AFTERNOON TALK RADIO.

That will help the Democrats lose in Missouri, Minnesota, and South Dakota, where the dinnertime voters will know the news from New Jersey before they vote. It is time for Torricelli to step up and be a leader for the Democrats -- a leader into Senate defeats.

In February 1999, a month before Clinton ordered the bombing of Belgrade, Senator Bob Smith, (R-NH) questioned America becoming involved in a civil dispute in Yugoslavia and observed, ""We are in essence becoming the Air force for the KLA," which even Clinton´s State Department had on its list as a (terrorist organization.)

A week before Clinton began bombing Yugoslavia, the Czech police arrested "two Kosovo-Albanian mafia bosses, who they say operated one of the largest drug gangs in Europe and controlled as much as 90 percent of the heroin market in Scandinavia." That heroin was made from opium poppies grown in Afghanistan under the Taliban and helped fund the weapons used by both the KLA and the Taliban. Osama bin Laden had close ties with the KLA.

I wrote as the bombing began: "Today, without a vote in the Congress or the UN, President Clinton has in effect declared war on Yugoslavia, which is approximately the size of the State of Kentucky. He is providing the Air Support the KLA lacks. Kosovo, which is demanding independent status, is about 4,000 square miles that is about one tenth of Yugoslavia. The KLA is composed largely of non-Albanian mercenaries who are financed with the Kosovo-Albanian heroin trade in Scandinavia, Italy, and the Czech Republic."
