Since his run for governor of Texas, the liberal, unimaginative, whining media ("they") have consistently been wrong in their description of Dubya. Here are some examples you may remember....

I love that picture. I'm sure he was sending a message. Next, he needs "Slander".

Thanks, Jim. My intent was to point out the arrogance, irrelevance and redundancy of most of the media, not to pretend the President is perfect. But as that old Alabama song goes (to paraphrase), He's close enought to perfect for me.
I like this President.

This is my first try, so hope it's OK.
This is more than OK. It is superb IMO.

Wow, great thread. One other thing that President Bush was able to do was get a tax cut through for us last year. The Dems said that couldn't be done...
To: gramho12
One of the interesting things is that he doesn't seem to be at all fazed by these comments. The Dems, particularly algore and clintoon, have to have polls to tell them how to act or who to be, but W knows who he is and what he wants to do, and is content to be judged by history.
A fact which almost surely will have history judging him as a much better and more effective man than the silly Dems.

Good stuff, and right on! I saw Ann Richards on LKL last night and wanted to pull her hair out by the roots. She's still hissing about W.

I love it! Not only did she lose to him, now he is a well-loved President and she's out having a pity party with Larry. Ain't life grand?

Old Ma Richards, being the proverbial bitch that she is, cannot admit that she was beaten fair and square by someone smarter and more respected that she ever has been or can ever hope to be.

The big mitake made by far too many people is that those on the left are intelligent. Most of them are not. Their leaders are brilliant, politically. That's about it.

Excellent article!
Has anyone else noticed how often media photos of the President make him look extremely geeky, stupid, or evil? Seems like the media photos of president Clinton made him look (or tried to!) wise, handsome, and calm.
Another example of bias.

Poor Ma. Nobody cares what she thinks anymore, not that it stops her mouth from constantly running. She was an absolute fountain of wisdom with Larry last night. She reminds me of Bill and Hill -- they are all totally without class or grace.

Excellent point - I've noticed that as well. The unflattering photo is the one they will print.

I just started Theodore Rex myself. I understand that the President has read it and that he is a great admirer of TR.
I also read Morris' Dutch but am finding TR a better read.

I am always stunned by the photos they print. Sometimes I have to look twice to make sure it's really him. Do you mean they do this deliberately? (chuckle)

I'm 56 years old and I don't think I have been more proud of a President. Even Ronald Reagan did not have to deal with the challenges President Bush has had since he was elected and taken office. It has been amazing to watch.
