"But there were also false prophets among the people just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign lord who bought thembringing swift destruction on themselves." 2 Peter 2:1

They've bought the very first lie...."hast God said?".....

Wow...well, I guess it depends on how far you want to take the definition of "hospitality." Personally my limit is a nice cup of tea, but them maybe I'm being old-fashioned...
To: anniegetyourgun
And they seriously think rewriting the bible will change anything God has said?
To: truthandlife
First they hijacked the word "gay", now they're hijacking the term "hospitality". Gives a whole new meaning to the word, for sure.
Frankly, I wish the homosexual community would live their lives in peace, and allow us to do the same. If it weren't for their constant drum beat, I wouldn't be forced to evaluate their activites constantly. I'd rather leave it to God.

I avoid the problems with these new translations by sticking with the Geneva Bible, or the Authorized Version, or Luther's german Bible (with modernized spelling) or St. Jerome's Vulgate. Newer translations may be slightly more accurate, but I trust the translators less and less. The older Bibles have stood the test of time, and are inspired writing in their respective languages.

Massive, Mega Chunky Spew Alert!

Actually, historically, in some cultures, hospitality included providing a sexual companion, typically of the opposite sex, but not always. Doesn't make buggery right, though.
To: Billthedrill
Actually, hospitality is taken very seriously in that area of the world. Once you've accepted a guest in your house, they are to be treated as a member of your family and defended as if they were blood relations, as long as they are under your roof.

Don't tell me, let me guess. Instead of Adam & Eve they really did use Adam & Steve, right?

Not to be outdone, murderers, thieves, rapists and other special interest groups are rushing to release their latest versions of the Bible. Be advised, the word sin has been replaced by "prank", God by "crank".
Humanity nears Judgement day. No matter what they call it it isnt' going to be pretty for many.

"...nice cup of tea..."

To: truthandlife

Historicly some cultures were vile.

OK, OK, two cups of tea.
To: DoughtyOne
Yes. But, I'm not sure I'd turn down the babe..... at least if I were single.
To: RonF
Lot provided the hospitality. The attempted violation of that hospitality was very much key to this, but it was also perverse and homosexual related.
To: SouthernFreebird
Actually, they think they can create their own scripture and thereby, their own god....after their own image. It's called idolatry.
