JAX.....New Free Republic Chapter in Jacksonville, Florida

I'm trying to get a JAX chapter started, but haven't received much interests as of yet. I'm hoping by putting up a thread, more people might see my plan. If anyone lives in the Jacksonville, Florida or south Georgia area and would like to be a part of a new chapter of FReepers, please consider it. It will be lots of fun and I feel it's important to organize ourselves. FReepmail me with your email address so we can create a loop for communication purposes.

I'm mostly interested in supporting our troops in the area, but there will be other opportunities to make our presence known as well. I believe Jeb Bush will be here for a debate on the 27th. (Is that correct Dutchgirl)?

This is a huge state. We need many more chapters.

I hope to make it there soon. I hear there are good shells and sand dollars for the kids to find. Since we moved to Florida 6 months ago, beach combing is our favorite thing to do. :) Nice to formally meet you Julie.
