A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 9-11-02

President Bush traveled to the three areas of the country that were hit by terrorist attacks one year ago today. Bush traveled to the Pentagon this morning, Pennsylvania this afternoon, and New York City this evening- where he delivered an address to the nation from Ellis Island. Today is a day for remembering the lives that were lost, and today is a day for honoring the freedom that we will fight and die for. God bless America. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Oh gawd...I just saw a preview of the West Wing....barf city. They've got Martin Sheen up there giving some speech about evil. Makes me sick. Hollywood has no honor.

No SuziQ, I haven't seen the article. I'll have to pick it up. It always killed me the way she treated her parents. Especially her father. Now she will have to live with the guilt for the rest of her life. Too bad. I wonder if she has any children of her own.

Chads had to work all day, so I couldn't go either, but KMJ broadcast it live. It was great. JimRob went and maybe you saw his post with pictures!
The F16's that did the flyover for it, flew right over my house afterward, and I was up on the pool ladder waving at them as they zoomed by! I bet I made their day, what do you think? LOL!

There was an incredible story told from the memorial service that I attended today. A man had an apartment that faced the WTC. He had a picture perfect view of the WTC from his window.

He was not permited into his apartment for a while after Sept 11. He mentally preparing himself for a devasting view that he was going to encounter when he was premited to return to his apartment. What he wasn't prepared for was what the view was going to be. As he enter the apartment he looked across to where the WTC used to be and there was a perfect view of the Statue of Liberty. He said that it was a moment of healing for him, that yes the WTC was gone but that "Liberty was still here".

President Reagan gave many their start and that includes the American people

There is only one Ronald Reagan .. he is one of a kind

President Bush is also his own man and knows what is right and what is wrong .. and yes like President Reagan, he has great faith in the American people

Like I said .. IMO Ronnie would be proud of W

Peggy Noonan wrote a great piece, one year ago, comparing W. more to Truman than to Reagan: Peggy Noonan: The President Within.

Thanks, WIladyconservative, for linking it off your freeper home page -- I had forgotten about it.

Yep, just before the real President comes on, CBS advertizes their fake liberal West Wing show, and then later near the end of the interviews with the President, they advertize that the Clintoon will be on Letterman that night.

I will bet dollars to donuts that X42 orchestrated that.

Doesn't that commercial make you ill? I've never watched the show but the commercial shows me I'm not missing anything and Martin Sheen is horrible. On Clinton being on Letterman, isn't he the most pathetic individual? He had to get on TV yesterday somehow someway, disgusting.

Well, even if they did tell him, and he remembered who she was, it wouldn't be long before he forgot they told him. Don't get me wrong, I'm not making fun of him; just stating the reality of the disease. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimers back in 1998; she's as the point now that she doesn't remember that my Dad died 21 years ago, and she sometimes gets to the point where she gets agitated because her Mama and Daddy will be worried because they don't know where she is. Her Mom died in 1992 and her Dad died in 1950. We always assure her that yes, they know where she is!

She still remembers her kids, but gets kind of fuzzy on the grandkids, especially our kids who she only sees once a year! But when we saw her this summer, we got a great picture of her with my family and I'll treasure it.
