Adios a Los Angeles! Bienvenido a Aztlan!

The best solution to the problem of illegal immigration from Mexico might be for the United States military to invade and occupy Mexico. Then we could install a new government in Mexico to replace the 19th century type of elitist, corrupt government that is currently in place there.

When INS is in town the grapevine becomes a play by play. Everyone knows what hotel they stayed in, what time they woke up, what they had for breakfast and which direction they are going.

I think the funniest thing I ever saw was when I was in a restaurant and the staff instantly became a "tour group" from Mexico. The manager and his wife and the white help covered while the Mexicans sat down and ordered a meal, pretending to be customers. The INS can check employees but not customers. The manager was POed because they all ordered the most expensive items on the menu. They had a great time being the most demanding customers and running his fanny off. The INS didn't have a clue.

How to identify the illegals: they must have a legal document, not a false one, that proves that they are here legitimately. If they went through the legal process of immigration, then they have documents to prove it. Those that do not have the documents should be deported. They are breaking US Immigration law. What's so controversial about enforcing Federal law?

When we lived in Mexico (for eight years), it took us five years of much burocratic nonsense, money (bribes) and numerous documents to even arrive at "resident status". Then to become a real immigrant there were many more burocratic hoops to jump through and mordidas to pay. We never became "imigrados," but were regarded as "residentes." If the Mexican government can and does exercise such strict, legal controls over immigration to their country, why can't we insist that our laws be obeyed? Please explain if you disagree and why.

I am concerned that the Republican Party and Pres. Bush are ignoring this growing menace to the Republic. If they don't wake up soon, they are sure to lose support. Tell your Reps and Senators (over and over--I have done so and will continue).

Joe, very sickening. At least we see who the traitors are.

Similarly, because non-hispanic whites have been the majority, and result of illegal immigration will have an effect on their percentage. Thus, here are Houson's numbers.

What traitors to America, its sovereignty, and future civility. We've got some moronic politicians, that's for sure. If they can't stand for borders, language, and culture, then what chance does America have?

So move. California politicians are sticking it to you.

Or, you can stay where you are at, and work to change the current political reality: that there exists, among the Socialists haunting the counties and state agencies of California, an evil conspiracy managing the systematic recruitment and funnelling of illegal Mexican interlopers into the California Welfare abyss. They're building another immutable and dependent voting bloc that will further entrench their power. It's vile, and Californian's should rise up and assert their rights, codified through various Propositions, that have been oppressively seized by Marxist jurists and permitted by a grossly derelict Attorney General's office.

Or, you can choose to move to a state or county where your elected leaders care about your hard earned wages, our unique and precious American culture and community, and the fundamental rule of law.

California, from a political standpoint, is a corrupt cesspool right now. Californians, Arizonans, Texans etc. need to take their communities back. On a local, city, county and state level. It's the entitlements and benefits showered upon newly arrived illegals that feeds this serious disease threatening our national security, prosperity and American institutions. That's the source, and that's the cure. The School Board members, County Commissioners, State Welfare Bureauzombies and the rest of the cynical Political Class who are managing this infiltration need to be thrown out the door ASAP.

The nature and scope of the illegal immigration crisis is well developed here on FR at this point. Now what?

Arne, I don't live in California, Arizona, or Texas, but I do empathize, as it is a part of my country. Furthermore, here in Georgia, we've got our own invasion.

Well...you're right of course. And when I speak of them having a plan...their plan is simply population. Whites were at near zero birth rate at one point in time while Mexicans continued to populate every country in the free world, especially America. Now they want our paved Walmart parking lots to throw their diapers and beer cans. What's worse is that Walmart and Home Depot depend on them for twenty-five percent of their business. They come across the border not respecting which side of the isle to walk on in stores, not respecting our traffic rules, not knowing any rules. The men rape and murder but their President resents his murdering criminals being put to death. We need a plan. I think the plan could start with the United Staes military. Never mind the Border Patrol whose members speak the same language as the lawbreakers. Nobody needs to speak a foreign language in America.

Let's make sure the issue in focus is unfettered illegal immigration, not that a particular ethnic or cultural element that displeases us is comprising the new wave.

The maps showing the demographic concentrations of specific ethnic resident within cities, these tables and figures illustrating the population growth of particular ethnic or racial groups in select geographic areas, are really irrelevant to the discussion. The issue is illegal immigration by ANY foreign national, of any ethnicity, not the influx of any particular group.

Do we have too many Mexicans in Los Angeles and San Antonio? Are there too many Germans in Milwaukee? Are there too many Cubans in Miami? Are there too many Irish in Boston, too many Greeks in Detroit, too many Norwegians in the UP, too many Italians in Philly, too many Koreans in Seattle, too many Mormons in Salt Lake City? That's not for us to judge.

Mexicans, like Germans and Cubans and Poles and Russians and Scandanavians before them, should be expected to assimilate into the American culture - our language, our work ethos, our respect for the rule of law and property - as a precondition to their authorized entry here. No welfare from the people of the communities they are joining. If they don't have employment or a sponsor, they're not welcome here. Period. If they're not given a means of life sustaining resources by a third party (i.e. Government), they'll leave on their own. They won't starve when in the umbrella of family and friends in their homelands of Mexico, or Somalia, or Estonia or Malaysia. The guy with a sturdy back isn't going to bring Grandma and the toddlers into this country with him if there isn't some insipid ghoul from a Social Service Agency, Immigrant Support entity or left-wing religious advocacy mob there to take Grandma and the kids by the hand, and walk them down to the County Center to get them signed up for the food stamps, health care, housing and enrollment into public school systems that they are going to need to live amongst us.

If we have 20 million, 30 million or 50 million native born Mexicans here legally, working honestly, embracing English language and American cultural tools, obeying the law and raising their families in a peaceful, honorable and prosperously constructive manner, that's fine with me. We've got plenty of room for newly arrived Americans of good faith, hope and conduct. That's what we're about.

I respect the sincerity of your comments so let's take them one at a time.

Mexican-Americans,...Anyone who sees themselves as this is part of the problem not part of the solution. People who reside in Mexico City are Americans or more properly north Americans.

Is that something you can back with documentation

Yes. Check out the State of California web site particularly review the governor's web page and news releases.

By your statistical comment, if my veteran buddies' parents were wetbacks, then their children and grandchildren would be the "progeny" which you reference

You're correct. Your veteran buddies are included if their parents immigrated after WWII.

Anybody out there know how one distinguished an illegal vs. legal immigrant, in the 1840s through 1870s

It's academic and beside the point. Immigrants before WWII and paticlarly before the 1900's were a fairly stable percentage of the California population and are statistically insignificant compared to the flood that started after WWII and is which is increasing geometrically with each sucessive decade since 1960.

I can't be angry with other people (and their progeny), trying to better themselves

I can; easily. The current generation of emigre are not pursuing their dreams on their own. The majority are depending on the public largess to get their start (starting with the birth of their new citizen progeny in public supported hospitals) and many are uncomfortable with assimilation.

Do you have a demographic map highlighting the census concentrations of U.S. residents/citizens of German heritage?

I have a feeling that much of the Midwest is absolutely infested with them.

I wonder what a Map showing the concentration of Baptist worshippers would look like .... how about a map of blue eyed men and women? I'll bet they're heavily concentrated in the same areas that them Irish, Scotts, Germans, Dutch, Swedes and the rest of the Northern European horde who swarmed alarmingly over the American landscape centuries ago now live.

What's the point? The issue is the presence of ILLEGALLY resident foreign nationals here. There are a few sweethearts from the Al-Qaida glee club here that I'm fretting. They want to kill me.

"By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America."

I have news for him, if he had made this speech in America he wouldn't be president right now, and I certainly would never have voted for him. I don't intend to fall in line, let him take the Republican party on a wild ride left, just to keep a demoncrat out of office.

I respect the sincerity of your comments so let's take them one at a time.

I'm pleased that you respected the sincerity of my comments. By way of reciprocation, tell me about your life experiences with immigrants.

Where do you live?
What is the current immigration situation in your area?
Do you have any friends who are or are connected with fairly recent immigrants?

Under the Constitution, the "progeny" are citizens. I'll grant some problems. There were problems, in the past, with certain ethnic and racial groups, and still are.

Basically, I disagree with your fears about "progeny." Maybe I have simply seen good examples, and you have seen either bad examples or no examples.

Respectfully,
