Arne, I don't live in California, Arizona, or Texas, but I do empathize, as it is a part of my country. Furthermore, here in Georgia, we've got our own invasion.

No rational discussion can take place without acknowledging two realities: 1.) there is no way to identify, arrest and deport the millions of illegals already here through INS law enforcement activities. That's a fantasy. 2.) There is no way to fully seal our borders from any encroachment. If an individual has enough motivation and desire to come here, they'll come here. They always have.

So, we need to address the individuals already here, and to remove the current incentives enticing foreign nationals to cross our borders in violation of our immigration law. First, benefits to illegally resident foreign nationals need to be terminated. No medical care (except emergency), no public school accessability, no drivers licenses or financial support mechanisms. If they can demonstrate they have the ability to support themselves independently through labor or a sponsor, we need to get them the paperwork to make their stay here legal. If they have no means of support, we arrange for their safe journey back to their home. We need to get these people on the radar, with an incentive to either make themselves known as a financially capable citizen or to go back to Haiti or Ireland or Mexico or Moldovia because all financial support from our tax kitty will no longer be available.

This is not an "invasion". These people don't give a damn about a greater Mexico. The dirty little secret is that most Mexicans LIKE living in Mexico, and would choose to do so if they could live under a free and stable political government and with the hope of prosperity and well being for their families. What is happening now is a natural movement of people seeking economic betterment. They're going to LA, San Diego, Tucson, Phoenix, Houston, San Bernadino, Dallas etc. because that's where the politicans and civil servants give them the money they need to live, money and services superior to those they could enjoy in Mexico, Haiti, Somalia, Cambodia and so on and so on. Politicians they will no doubt vote for in gratitude.
