A Few of FR's Finest.....
......Every Day

FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues;  salute
and support our military and our leaders;  tell a few jokes;  learn a new
word;  write poetry;  pray for those in need;  and congratulate those who
are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which
we can express ourselves.

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.  I
can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands
of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.

Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!

And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

Several FReepers.....well, ok, some FReepers..... have asked when and if I would post some of my drawings of the Bushes and Reagans again, and I didn't have a new profilee ready to go today, and it was my turn to 'do' the thread, so........this is the day they give drawings away. What an optimistic thought. I certainly wish I had.

But, I spent so much of the time on the phone with the so-generously-termed, "tech service". Install this, uninstall that, put in these digits, take out those, remove, put in, wring hands and think. It was a miserable experience that I would not wish on anyone, nor desire to repeat.

Hi, there WV, so good to see you back here.

I am a real collector. I use anything I think is cute or touching, or pretty, or, or, or. I prefer things that disappear like this figment does when you stop imagining me.

I seem to gather a lot of really cute, touching kitties. Not sure why, they just get to me. I was a dog breeder in a former existence and a dairy owner. Go figure all that, if you can.

Well, the Boyne City Library vacation came to an end yesterday...I survived kayaking (after Billie put the fear of God in me when she said don't roll over..)Acually the lake was quite calm and I loved it...Anyway, freeping in a public library is an experience I will never forget!

We're back at my folks cottage, they won't be here until late tonight so I have moms computer all to myself...am overlooking a lovely lake and can freep to my hearts content...Gizmo is at my feet and Mr. D. is happy as a lark watching the old Law and Order reruns...

The portraits are LOVELY Billie. I have seen many through the years, it's great to have them altogether on one site. A Definate bookmark!

Lodwick...haven't heard from liberal brother in law since I put a picture of GW as his screensaver. Forgot to tell you as he was peering over my shoulder the other day...he asked if there was a democrat site. I suggested he might like DU. Not sure if that's good or bad, but he is pretty reasonable and hope the site will make him realize how sick the true liberals are...
