A Few of FR's Finest..... ......Every Day
FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues; salute and support our military and our leaders; tell a few jokes; learn a new word; write poetry; pray for those in need; and congratulate those who are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which we can express ourselves.
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. I can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest November 11, 2001
So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.
Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!
And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

Geez ...... if there's rules I'm clueless. No wonder I'm in trouble all the time. LOL
Everyone loves music; we get to know other Freepers; I tell jokes (no wonder I get in trouble); pictures from the state of our featured Freeper gets posted with a history lesson. I post my sigs because I enjoy them so very much. As far as ratings, we are net nanny approved except when I get here. LOL
I'm pinging the hostesses so they can welcome you and correct any of my errors regarding the rules. LOL

Isn't that doggie cute. You know who sent her to me. Now we will argue about whether she's a she or a he.
Last time I counted I think I had about 75, so must be getting close to 90. I need to put them in a folder so I can keep track of them. I guess the easiest way is to make a web page with all of them on it.
If we have aother slow week-end, how about if I post them all?

LOL. I love your signatures Amy. I don't know how to put names to the gifs yet, but I'm a good scrounger. Thanks for the welcome. I hope there aren't too many rules. I try not to post excessively large graphics, except for one or two angels that I love.

I'm sure you will love it here! I like to tease so I exaggerate about getting into trouble all the time. I have been know to push it a little with some of the jokes but it is all in fun. This is the image when Billie sent me to the corner. (I look just like LouieWolf when he has to sit in the corner) LOL
See; looks nothing like me!

To: WVNan
Good night. Hope to see you here tomorrow. We will have a brand new featured FReeper to honor.
To: ST.LOUIE1
You've been "quacked" for a looooong time! : ) ROTFL! Have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy your antics with Amy/Frank?
To: Mama_Bear
. (although he didn't think I chose the best picture of him.) LOL. Hmmm, interesting comment! :)
To: JustAmy
Did you just happen to notice that I was the very first poster this morning on this thread? Is that a first or what? I was still asleep, but wow, I don't think I have ever been first on a thread in the morning!
To: daisyscarlett
Love your Scarlet! She is beautiful isn't she? Or is that you in shrunken form? :)
To: Mama_Bear
Glad you found the menu for in and out! Been meaning to try and send you the link, then I would forget about it! Sorry, but isn't the animal style good?
To: ladyinred
(although he didn't think I chose the best picture of him.) LOL. Hmmm, interesting comment! :)
LOL! Well, I know he doesn't understand why I selected a photo of him in boot camp when we have so many photos of him in uniform when he was a First Class Machinist's Mate. But, the time he was in boot camp (between his junior and senior year of high school) was a momentous time for us. He was only seventeen years old and my baby. They sent him clear across country for basic training in Orlando. Anyway, the pictures of him in boot camp mean the most to "mom". :-)
To: ladyinred
isn't the animal style good? It sure was! The "well-done" fries were great too. Their food is sooooo good and I ate way too much. :-)
To: Mama_Bear
Oh gosh! I forgot about ordering the well done fries! I am going to have to start pinning notes to myself like some little old lady!
Oh, I AM a little old lady aren't I? Makes sense then why I can't remember anything anymore!
To: lodwick
Yes, I just did that- reset to 20 pages- so I could read comments from some of the more html-heavy pages... I usually forget to reset the bleeding thing, and wonder "why am I seeing so few articles..."
