A Few of FR's Finest..... ......Every Day
FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues; salute and support our military and our leaders; tell a few jokes; learn a new word; write poetry; pray for those in need; and congratulate those who are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which we can express ourselves.
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. I can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest November 11, 2001
So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.
Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!
And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

Good night Clara. BTW, I do like your new signature gif. Billie did a great job on it. :-)
To: ru4liberty
who misses everyone and is trying to figure out how she spent her life before the internet! I hope she is back soon. I'm sure she has some unfinished business with skinny. ;-)Thanks for the update, or in my case, the warning.
I was looking forward to who's return, but now I'm not too sure. :-)
To: Mama_Bear
I see you are back and I am on my way the door. I am cooking dinner and do not want it to burn up like Lodwick's did....lol....bbl

The Guild had a Funny Ladies topic going on today - and there's nothing more appealing than a funny girl.
Whatever else may fade and die - but a great sense of humor is forever.
It's something to cherish, worship, and honor.
This may be only a Southron guy thing - I don't know.

You see she feared putting that cute little flying pig on her URL but I assured her Skinny would never, ever send her a virus or any such thing. She is probably wondering about the coincidence, though.LOL! I would claim innocence, but no one would believe me. So why bother. :-)
To: daisyscarlett
Yes, I try to keep up with my pings while I am working.
I am going to get out of fixing dinner tonight. My mother-in-law wants us to take her to In-n-Out Burger for one of those "Animal style burgers". I guess you can order a regular cheeseburger and tell them to "animalize it". LOL! She recently heard that they have different types of burgers that aren't on their menu. Do you have In-n-Out down there? I am not big on fast food, but they do have the BEST burgers.
To: Mama_Bear
Why does no one deliver Cheeseburgers to our door?

What a wonderful logo!!
It really suits you, and couldn't be better, as is true of everything Billie does.
We are so fortunate to have all those who create and inhabit this daily thread, and those who drop by.
The best part is any active military personnel or veterans and spouses thereof can see our dedication to honoring those who place country above self.
