AARLC expresses complete outrage at the attempt by former President Bill Clinton to pass blame on the failure of his Somalia Mission
The African American Republican Leadership Council expresses complete outrage at the attempt by former President Clinton to pass blame on the failure of his Somalia Mission.
As an organization with national defense and support of our armed services being core issues, the African American Republican Leadership Council cannot allow this disgraced former president who has never ever worn a military uniform to pass blame onto his predecessor George W. H. Bush for the terribly bad decisions of him and his Secretary of Defense, Les Aspin.
President George W. H. Bush bears absolutely no responsibility for that debacle that saw our service men killed, mutilated and bodies dragged in the streets of Somalia. This is another accolade of Bill Clinton.
The former President and Les Aspin where the ones calling the shots when 18 members of the elite Delta Force were killed needlessly in the streets of Mogadishu because of the lack of heavy armor support and the refusal of the civilian led leadership to come to the rescue of these fine Americans that gave their lives in helping their fellow man.
Our elite Delta Force Units deaths rest squarely on shoulders of Bill Clinton. He will never be able to wash his hands of their blood by passing blame.
Lest we forget, in 1992 then President George W. H. Bush sought to deploy troops to Somalia with the express purpose of feeding the population of that war-torn nation, whom were in need of international aid; and to protect aid workers in the wake of the collapse of the Somalia national government.
Most would recall, the ever so loud mouth hypocritical Congresswoman Maxine Waters, built her name on the fact that she forced then President Bush into sending troops to Somalia. In her ranting and raving, she stated, If we can send troops to the Middle East to fight for oil, then he can send them to feed people. The President responded rightfully so for purely nonpartisan humanitarian reasons despite her irresponsible attack.
With the election of the military-service-lacking Bill Clinton, the same Maxine Waters along with other members of the partisan and hypocritical Congressional Black Caucus demanded that President Clinton help set up a new national government in Somalia.
With this new mission, U.S. Ground Commanders in Somalia quickly realized the need for heavy armory, as two bit petty warlords and bandits armed with rocket propelled grenades and pick-up trucks mounted with 50 cal. machine guns, ruled the streets of Somalias Capital, Mogadishu, beating up aid workers and stealing food for themselves.
The civilian leadership would not respond for political reasons. The excuse that the then Clinton White House used for not supplying heavy armor units to the members of Delta Force, now tasked with capturing Mogadishu top warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid was, we did not want to be seen as a occupying force.
Former President Clinton and Secretary of Defense Les Aspin lacked any clear judgment and this led to Americans watching the humiliating withdrawal of our troops like another former Democrat President at Desert One.
Former President Bill Clinton needs to see a therapist since he has the nerve to try to pin the blood of our servicemen on the hands of his predecessor, when his hands are stained with the blood of 800,000 Rwandans who died in 9 weeks of ethnic cleansing back in the spring of 1994.
The first large scale genocide of Black Africans ever, again from a President that love to trumpet himself as being the first Black President. He is not black as he should be able to tell, or should Monica remind him; but hurling such statements only goes to show how manipulative this void of any moral character he is.
Mr. Clinton, Black Americans are not your lapdogs. We have rejected you and truly see you for who you are. You are a con man that bamboozled black folks like your Black Community-pimp friend Jesse Jackson with no morality either. Now you too are brothers, alright. Sugar snake oil daddies.
Former President Bill Clinton never took a public stand on Rwanda and the wicked failed alleged community leader, Maxine Waters who gained fame for confronting President Bush over Somalia was flat out told by then Democrat Speaker of the House, Tom Foley that U.S. Troops were not going to Rwanda and to shut up about it. Where was her tenacity then? Her masa had spoken.
But soon the same Bill Clinton later in 1995, bombed his way into Bosnia to stop what he labeled as the worst ethnic cleansing since World War II, in a purely political move to give him a foreign policy victory after the lost of Congress to Republicans. Remember, Rwanda, slick Willie?
Former President Clinton outside his photo-op usage of Africa nations such as Ghana, did not do a thing to stop the African nation of Congo from importing SCUD-D Missiles from North Korea in exchange for Uranium that maybe used to help North Korea build a crude nuclear device one of these days.
Former President Clinton did not have a problem attacking Sudan and Afghanistan in a purely political move that was to take public attention of his impeachment and then turned right around and bombed his way into Kosovo in 1998 at the behest of Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
Nation building? This is the same Madeleine Albright who as US Representative to the UN in 1994, voted against any UN Peacekeepers going to Rwanda to stop the 9 weeks of ethnic cleansing that took place. Another wicked woman, like the less than Honorable Maxine Waters.
Here again this hypocritical Congresswoman Maxine Waters did not have much to say when Bill Clinton refused a request by his special envoy on African Affairs, the promiscuous Rev. Jesse Jackson to send Western Airpower to Sierra Leone, to stop the rampage of rebels who where advancing on the capital city, in a civil war that produced the worst to date, human carnage on a civilian populace. Certainly, Bill Clinton cannot attempt to pass blame here. But then again, he would blame someone else.
Seems the former President, his nitwit Secretary of State, her assistant Susan Rice, Congresswoman Maxine Waters and members of The Congressional Black Caucus, all have selected memories when it comes to events in Africa.
Lest us not forget when this impeached disgrace attempted to give a speech at the United Nations back in 2000 on the topic of ethnic cleansing that African Delegates from the Lake Victoria Nations got up and walked out in the middle of his hypocritical speech.
I wonder if the impeached disgraced former President, Bill Clinton, remembers that 17 sailors died on his watch in Yemen because of the same failed policy of nation building that killed 18 Delta Force Members in the street of Mogadishu some 7 years earlier.
What president would allow a US flagged Destroyer, the U.S.S. Cole DDG-67 to refuel in a questionable nation and make it general information on the time and day. Seems the former president and those who served him have no idea of operational security.
Once again Bill Clinton has tried to spin himself into the victim, and blame those before him and around him for his failed policies. AARLC stands with our veteran members of all races, and as Americans of African descent, along with our thousands of mosaic members nationally, African American Republican Leadership Council will no longer allow this disgraced former President to use military members and African Nations such as Somalia for political cannon fodder.
Bill Clinton, we will no longer be your floor mats. Go away and dont come back, no more. May your dealings with Africans and African Americans get you a special place in the bowels of the most appropriate Abyss, maybe a septic tank filled with the carcasses of all whom you have hurt.
