Vanity~Please pray for my family...
Posted on 07/25/2002 10:34:44 PM PDT by Sweet_Sunflower29
I'm sure there is a way to do this correctly, I apologize in advance for not knowing what that correct way is.
My [maternal] grandfather is in OKC Hospital, with what looks like multi-system shutdown throughout his body. Papa is 88 years old, and according to the docs, he is nearing the end.
Almost on the same day, my aunt [moms' sister] was diagnosed with a tumor in her lung. She is in a hospital in Tulsa. We don't think it looks too hopeful, and I hope to gather more information when my parents make it to OKC and Tulsa for full reports.
Please keep my mother in your thoughts...I can't imagine the possibility of losing one family member, let alone two so close together. Mom and daddy are hitting I-40 in the morning, heading out to Oklahoma to just BE there.
I just want my parents back home safely, and I want the grief my mother will undoubtly experience to quickly be replaced with peace and comfort.
I'm sorry I didn't do this correctly, please make any adjustments necessary to my posting~

My prayers for your aunt and your grandfather for peace and comfort from God Almighty as he heals and works there and for your mother for the same strength and comfort that only comes from God. Added to the

I'll pray for you and your family. I know how hard it can be, my mother lost her husband and her mother in the space of three weeks.

I marvel at the work the Lord is doing on your behalf.Even though the future looks dim to you at this moment the Lord has provided brothers' and sisters' to help you and your family gain the Peace that eventually we all yearn for. May the Angels be at the side of the medical staff when treatments are given. Peace.

I just thought I'd post that my grandfather passed on about three hours ago. He was in no pain, and he was ready to be done fighting according to my parents.
This is interesting...My 6 year old sons birthday is on the anniversary of my GRANDMOTHERS death...Today, the day her husband, my GRANDFATHER passed, is my other sons' 9th birthday. How amazing is that?
My aunt was diagnosed with lung cancer. The doctors have given her 6 weeks to live without chemotherapy, 9-18 months if she does it.
My mother is holding up remarkably well. Thanks to you all for the kind words and thoughts...
