A Bush Hater's Poll
Jim Robinson
Posted on 07/10/2002 11:27:06 PM PDT by Jim Robinson
This is an unofficial quick and dirty presidential poll. Apparently, there is a good sized contingent on Free Republic that believes that President Bush is:
- Not conservative enough
- Not pro-life
- Is a gun-grabber
- Is a federal power-grabber
- Will appoint liberal judges
- Is a globalist
- Is in it just for oil
- Is too soft on immigration
- Is too soft (or too hard) on Israel
- Is a crook
- All of the above
- None of the above
- Other (you name it)
Please list the numbers that best match the reasons you don't like Bush (or state other reasons if not on the list) and state whether you believe that President Bush should be defeated even if it means installing a Democrat in the Whitehouse.
Conversely, if you believe President Bush should be re-elected, please state why.
Please state who you would like to see win the Presidency in 2004 and whether or not you believe he/she has a chance of winning.
Thanks,
Jim

This is why I stand proudly with President Bush.

I especially love the plain simple logic here . In other words lets take total control , then we can clean up our house .
After raging thru so much swill on this thread your common sense is very much refreshing .

What makes you think IF( and its a big if) the Republicans ever get total control they will really dismantle socialism. The fact that Bush has not exercised his veto power over so much of the socialistic crap that has passed this year makes me very pessimistic of that.

"For the same reason that you spray Wasp and Ant killer outside your house but you are a bit more circumspect with the DDT inside your house."Talk about not getting it right, or worse getting it backward. I have not carefully researched the medical literature on this subject and am speaking off the top of my head, but I am a retired pathologist with a passing knowledge of the subject. I am not sure that there is a single proven human death due to DDT in the entire worlds' medical literature. It is among the safest of all compounds to humans that are used to poison other varmits. And any house ever treated for termites with DDT is termite proof for five thousand years. I would pay handsomely for five pounds to treat the new house that I am getting ready to build. Feel to Freepmail with a quote if you have a pound or more. Practically all of the other insecticides are associated with some deaths almost every year. Thanks to the PC environmental fruitcakes we saved the bald eagle and the peregrine falcon but at a cost of millions of human lives lost to malaria.

A note: This very issue is what makes vote fraud by the Democrats or anyone else so serious...there are few things that could lead to a breakdown of our civil society quicker than the knowledge that our votes weren't deciding our representation.) Voter fraud is a way of life to the Democrats and a tragic assualt on our very civilization. But Republicans from G.W. Bush all the down to my County Commission representative pretend it doesn't happen.
One more reason I am frustrated with Bush and the whole GOP.
I am sick of voting for candidates who are willing to make compromises with evil. I am ready for all out political upheaval to save the Republic and G.W. Bush is busy having lunch with Ted Kennedy and being polite to the Clintons.
Give me someone with a little Huevos.
BTW I was a Keyester.

I care about a broad range of issues...anyone who knows me knows this to be true. Anyone who knows more than a few pro-life people knows that to be true of them as well....Can't you see that the 'single-issue' charge is simply a semantic ploy that is fully intended by the deliverer to marginalize pro-lifers? So would you or would you not vote for a ticket that included Condi Rice?

I think Germany tried that 3rd party thing a few years back. It didn't pan out so well. Germany tried it pre-World War II. The Catholic conservatives and Protestant conservatives spilt the vote - result Hilter's Nazi Party wins.

I haven't read all the post on this thread but the first 600 and then some of the last ones. Jim Robinson, I really think that you should have worded your title differently. I am not a Bush hater. But then I am also not a Bush-bot.
The one thing that I have noticed is that no one is allowed to disagree or to critisize Bush. At least not without being called names. You know I'm really glad that these same people were not around in 1776. Can't you hear them. "It's not so bad. It could be a lot worse. We have to wait around and see what the King really means. Just because he raised taxes doesn't mean that he is against us. Maybe he has a larger agenda and we will find out about it later. The alternative would be worse. We would not have anyone to take care of us and we would have to do all this ourselves."
What's wrong with doing what our forefathers did. No, not take up arms(not yet anyway) but organize and march on Washington. Not just Republicans. Most of the Democrats that I know are just as sick of the taxes and the illegals as we are. Explain, in a voice millions strong that we will no longer sit back and allow them to own our country. They will no longer be the Lords of America. They will answer to us. And that answer will be by our Consttution. If that means a new party then why is everyone on here so afraid of it. When did you lose sight that we the people are the power.
Will I vote for Bush again? That's up to him. I have never liked taking the better of two evils. If you don't like the choices then make some new ones. That's what they did in 1776.
To: carpio
I am ready for all out political upheaval to save the Republic... I am too, as long as it is done by legal and by moral means...in other words within the confines of the Constitution of the United States of America.
Democrat disdain for that precious document is no excuse for you to despise it as well.
The rest of that talk you can leave me out of...I don't want anything to do with it, thank you very much.
To: georgiabelle
If you don't like the choices then make some new ones. That's what they did in 1776.Really? Who were the Presidential choices in 1776? heh.
To: Sabertooth
"Sure, but they should have done it a heck of a lot sooner. We are at war, and it was a security breach."The response I expected
"That said, it's important to realize that ending the "Visa Express" program is consequent to the War on Terror, as are nearly all of the INS crackdowns, and not idicative of the President's policies toward the vast bulk of the Illegals currently in our country."
I get the feeling you think President Bush could issue an executive order and fix all the immigration problems, or maybe the illegals here are not high on his list of things to do to please Sabertooth. It takes legislative action and appropriators to fork over the 10 trillion dollars it will take to build the 40 foot wall completely around 15,000 miles of our borders in order to secure them from all those you wish not to be here. Unless of coarse you have the magic pill that will convince all the opressed people of this world who risk their lives daily in order to get into this country. Plus find all the needles in the haystacks that want to do us harm?
Cmon Sabertooth the Nation is counting on you, After you show GWB how easy it is, than you can handle the easy job of convincing the 535 members of Congress. I know you can do it, After all it's simple...You said so
To: weikel
We already know we can not count on you, so go vote for the loser of your choosing and quit selling wolf tickets
To: Amelia
So would you or would you not vote for a ticket that included Condi Rice? Absolutely not...
...unless she changed her tune on abortion, and I truly believed that she meant it. (At this point, that would be a very hard sell, btw.)
To: MJY1288
I don't think any of the 3rd parties can win either.
To: carpio
I am ready for all out political upheaval to save the Republic and G.W. Bush is busy having lunch with Ted Kennedy and being polite to the Clintons. LOL. You may be a bit surprised when you try and find there are many of us out there that do not feel the need to be "liberated". Before you build those barricades you had best see who is going to be manning them with you versus who will be storming them.
To: carpio
Hey bud, If you're not going to retract the lies you told earlier, and I called you on, Don't ping me. Until you do so, you're just another disruptor spewing lies,
To: Texasforever
How is my friend in Texas doing this evening?
To: MJY1288
Getting my dander up just a bit.
To: weikel
That makes a lot of sense, so I guess we will see 15 candidates run for office and nobody will win. I love your enthusiasm! it's almost contageous < /sarcasm > off
To: EternalVigilance
Dude, you're a one-issue voter? If you find someone you agree with 100%, DON"T MARRY THEM.
