My daughter's friends, her sister, her sister's friends all counseled against having the baby, but she wouldn't listen. We decided to stage an intervention. When my daughter came into the living room, there were 15 women waiting for her, including four mothers. They asked me to leave; I listened from the kitchen, and though I couldn't hear anything other than sobs and laughter, I could feel the gravity. But when it was over, she still hadn't decided.

15 women who will burn in hell for all eternity.

And here I was thinking that Christ forgave.

I believe in redemption, even for heinous crimes. It depends on the will and intent of the individual. Certainly Christ forgives murder as St. Paul [formerly Saul] had been torturing and murdering Christians, and was on his way to Damascus to continue with his persecution, when his heart was changed. Prayer is our weapon of conversion for these poor lost souls.

It's amazing how many people who don't know the meaning of the word ADOPTION. It is either keep the baby or kill it. What is even more amazing is the fact that the author of this screed thought this was all something of which to be proud.

What a sad story. This idiot family really messed up this young lady for life. As I read through this I kept wondering when it would be that the family would wise up and realize that their own selfish motives were not a 'reason' to slice up a beautiful person of God. I guess I was wrong, sadly.

These 'believers' are not Christians. They have not idea what it means to be a Christian. "Bible Belt"...They will get their just rewards and wish for eternity that they had not been so concerned about themselves. "Hard Labor". Yeah, right. Watching a young child grow and experience a beautiful world that God has given us....but that some were to selfish to share. I am disgusted.

What a sad story....but what a police officer!

Unbelievable...yet not. How sad our society has become. We complain about children killing children, then turn around and encourage the same - our own flesh and blood, no less.

"I set before you blessing and cursings, life and death; therefore choose life that your children may live." - God

Adoption? No way! Why should anyone have any consequence for their actions?

the counselor went home thinking she had saved a life, we felt we had been sentenced to 18 years of hard labor

That's got to be one of the most selfish statements I've ever read. The reason for this abortion wasn't "incest or life of the mother", but laziness, selfishness, and the purest sort of evil -

"It's too much work. Kill it."

So much for "choice".

I had a 14 year old whose mom pulled this type of trick on her.

A year later, she was pregnant again, but hid it from her mom until she was over five months along and too late for an abortion.

Many of these teenagers get pregnant to "replace" the baby.

And all the women who "pressured her" into aborting were doing so because THEY TOO felt guilty, but needed the reinforcement that they too had done the real thing. It's a defense mechanism to quiet your conscience....

This girl is most likely a victim of statutory rape. Why is everyone permitted to conceal and not report this sex crime? Why is it permissible to publicly flay Catholic priests who commit sexual abuse, but not those who get 15 year old girls pregnant, and those who write their pill prescriptions or do their abortions?

...15 women who will burn in hell for all eternity.

It's difficult for me not to hope so. Our God may be infinitely merciful, but He is also infinitely just. I can't see how women so evil as to conspire to convince a girl to murder her baby would ever be able to change enough to humble themselves and truly repent. One reason abortion should be illegalized and suppressed, other than to save the innocent children, is to make it more difficult for people like these to be able to commit such a terrible sin.

P.S. I would include the father who helped stage and permitted this intervention and make it an even 16.

What a horrible story. I suppose you have to give them credit for being honest, however: they simply didn't want to be bothered with this grandchild (who certainly could have been adopted, if they had wanted to take even minimal effort).

"Name withheld." That means that even they are ashamed, deep down inside.

That night when we got home and my wife asked our daughter what she was going to do, she blurted out, ''I don't have a choice.'' The next day, she turned on Saturday-morning cartoons, as if she'd decided to be a kid again.

The "pro-choice" ideology at work, I see.

My daughter was right back on the teenage-mommy track. While the counselor went home thinking she had saved a life, we felt we had been sentenced to 18 years of hard labor.

Any person who views parenting as "hard labor" reaps what he sows. No wonder the fifteen-year-old turned to drugs.

"I know what is inside my daughter"

And I know what is not inside your daughter.... Your Grandchild.

Which is probably in a landfill somewhere.
