I had a great time yesterday, it was my pleasure to help out. I am so glad you didn't fire me my first day on the job for forgetting to ping you. LOL! Actually, I realize now that I forgot lots of people, but I will add names to the list as I think of them so the next time I do the post, they will be pinged.
You've done a very nice tribute to our FReepers who are no longer with us. And Mr_Magoo has done a beautiful job on the Memorial Wall.
BTW, late yesterday evening Jim Robinson posted a reply on yesterday's thread with some interesting information about our featured FReeper, JustAmy, ("Amy has been a great friend and mentor to me since she showed me the ropes in the computer business way back in June of 1974."). I had no idea that they had known each other for so many years. I am afraid most people didn't get to see his comments, so I am posting a link to it HERE....for the rest of the story.
Ah shucks, I was kinda hoping that Cheney would have bombed Baghdad today when he had the chance...maybe next time.
Good morning ladies. : )
Don't you even think about it either, Miss Daisy! We're all in this together! :)
Thanks for featuring the Memorial Wall today. That has been a project of love for me. A way of giving back to the forum that gave so much to me over the years.
The goal was, from the very beginning, to include every FReeper who passes away. By virtue of joining FR, they have earned the right to be listed. Kind of like the Marines. (Once a Marine, always a Marine) There is no favoritism. The "plaques" are in date order.
Most of those on the Wall I have known from posts over the last 4 years. Some I concidered friends. All I cried over as they were added. I pray that I never have to add another name. We have lost more fine people than we should have.
This is a beautiful thread, but then I expected no less than that from the only person on this forum who is Registered's equal with graphics.
I remember also BC Johnson, EdLinn, RR, OldAtlanta, heavyd, CaseyJay.....familiar names I used to see often on many threads. There are other names on the Memorial Wall some of you may remember: LoveUSA's father, Michael A. Marhevka; laissezfirearm, and JMIRACLE.
