Apparently Mini-Teacups son has been abducted and the father may not be in a good state of mind, please keep Teacup and Mini Teacup in your prayers.

They have registered with the National Missing Persons Database and are setting up a search fund at a local bank.

Carolina ... I posted this on the ATRW thread, but I imagine you may have missed it.

Please ... have her contact her local Domestic Violence Center. I have worked in these Centers off and on for nearly 20 years.

They have contacts all across the Country ... in uniform and out ... and help in many ways ... not only emotional.

Without being too specific ... they can be very useful in successfully locating and retrieving a "lost" child ... and have done so on many occasions ... with little or no fanfare ... for they work behind the scenes, so to speak ...

Please ... add these folks to the many trying to help ...

Interesting take, but what we know is that the estranged wife SAYS he's got a gun and needs meds, after he told her some cock-and-bull story about amnesia. Sounds more like he has a girlfriend on the side.

In any event, Mom was comfortable enough to let him have the child while she took a few days to "clear her head". If he really was a gun packing lunatic, she would not have done this.

She did do the correct legal action after, however, and got an emergency custody order. NOW he's violating the law, before, he was just a Dad with his child. Being very mean to Mom.

He's now committing Custodial Interference, and the cops can act and arrest accordingly. BTW, Beachdude, I like your analogy- what if Mini teacup was the Dad and the "abductor" was Mom. We'd see a different reaction here at FR, I'll bet. But you need to brush up on the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act, UIFSA, and Parental Kidnapping Act. Valid Orders regarding a child can only come from the child's "Home State", where the child has prior litigation, or where the child has resided for the last six months. That helped put the kabosh on the conduct you describe.

Illstillbe said NOTHING about taking away the rights of fathers or enriching mothers and destroying the institution of marriage. If you would have read this thread from the beginning, I believe that it was the father of this child who filed for the divorce, violated the emergency custody filing issued by the judge, and took off with his son. Do you honestly think that he is helping his custody rights by doing so? He has broken the LAW. Whether you agree with it or not, the facts are here for you to see plain and clear. He was mentally unstable, he had a gun and now he has taken a child away from his mother. What kind of torture is the child going through? Have you thought about that? Being taken away from his mother and siblings, on the run with "Daddy" and not knowing what's going to happen next.

I am assuming that you had a horrible experience with a child custody case, but not all women are out to "get you". Seems to me like maybe you are the one that is paranoid.

You make my heart ache, as I hear such pain and disillusion in your voice ...

I'll answer your question because I think you need an answer ... and because it might help others reading this ... though it is slightly off the more important topic.

No ... not to take away the rights of fathers. Sadly, domestic violence is an equal opportunity horror.

One of the saddest ... most violent cases I was involved in concerned a violent mother .. who lied to and beat her children and tried to poison her husband. The husband presented himself to us ... something difficult for him to do, I presume ... but the love he had for his children was far greater than any preconceived notions of what is or is not masculinity.

We nailed her to the wall ... among other things.

So. Put your sword down, sir. You are among more friends here than you may think ...
