Given the carping and nasty nature of FR as of late, I thought it might be a good time to see the more civil and gracious side of participants. Here is a thread for just that purpose to edify, encourage, and thank.
Ever wanted to thank that unsung FR hero? Agree or disagree, why not tell JohnHuang2 or Registered how much you appreciate their skills. And can you imagine the many hours Alamo-Girl puts into her work? Perhaps you appreciate how well the folks over at Word For The Day wield their words. Or maybe you just want to tell WIMom and her gang that youre sorry for all your unkind words about the recent Freepathon ads, and thank her for all her hard work on that. Maybe you are an FR Radio fan. Well, you get the idea.
What this thread is NOT for: complaints against the management, flaming those you disagree with, bashing the current administration, leaving your opus, whinning about someone being banned, criticizing FR spelling, grammar, or sentence structure, calling out newbies (unless they are disrupting this thread, of course), shilling for your candidacy, carping about a particular regular thread. Well, you get the idea.
Freep on
..
P.S. No, Im not fishing for compliments. Ive already been called every name in the book here on FR, and toothless hag is still my personal favorite.

Yes, I saw what happen...come back, sit back and just learn with the rest of us. There's been worse "biting" than that..TRUST ME. (Gotta love those mods for letting us back considering how much we were all a pest...well, sort of)

Talk about "bootlicking" and "cheerleading"...what the hell did you do, shrink a sweater/break a dish/lose a slide spring or something?

What a wonderful bunch of folks I think you all are.
With all our commonalities and all our differences,
freepers are the best company.
(my emphasis)
I must say.....I couldn't agree more. That's my personal experience!

Jim,
Thanks for creating the forum and allowing me to meet such a unique group of wing nuts.
Thank you for setting me straight on asset forfeiture. Your reasoned flames helped me to examine my vulgar understanding of the issue and to change my position to one more in line with the Constitution. Your willingness to engage me in that discussion has contributed directly to my current Constitutional positions.
Sincerely - my thanks and my prayers for your health and your future.

I'd like to thank the government for losing 17.5 Billion dollars last year. The resulting comedy should be fun for the roughly 25 minutes the govenrment seriously thinks about the problem and finally gives itself a clean bill of health.

Sneaky, you probably hate group hugs but you are great.
Cynicom, well Louie, you probably never saw a group hug you didn't like. :)
Billie, you have the kindest heart of all.
Meek, I'm still trying to forgive you for those Hildabeast and Helen Thomas photos, but thanks for being the master blaster of pinging!
Willie, you've cracked me up with your tuna fish and Vlad the Impaler threads among your others!
I'm sorry Arthur, it's just that you needed pinging. :)

Thank you, harpseal. And of course your insights are one of the reasons that I find myself so addicted to FR.
Travis - the same goes for you too. SEAL Team 8 is dropping in at Wings over Pittsburgh this weekend and I'll be thinking of you two guys. Can't wait for that book of yours. As I said before put me in for a signed copy.
Jeff Head - It is my great privilege to have met you, to have worked with you on several projects, especialy your novels, and to call you a friend. You are a true patriot.
Joanie - Of all the wonderful people I've met through FR, our shared sense of loss in the passing of our Dads last year bond us in a special friendship. Your eloquence and passion in defense of America and liberty are an inspiration.
Betty - Like Joanie, you write magnificently. I wish that I was able to reply to each of your wonderful posts - particularly those on the matters of our relationship to our Creator and Redeemer. Know that each is read and appreciated.
Joe - Your strength and faith in the face of adversity is courageous. So many here are with you in spirit and in prayer that, by the touch of our Lord and Savior, you will be healed.

To "bots," "bashers," and all in between, you are the best. Whenever I am reading FR, I am aware that I am privy to debates between the most aware, analytical, and brightest people on the internet.
Rock on!!!!
