I'm very sorry to hear this. This happened to my cousin who is now a 35 year-old kindergartener. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child and my prayers will have to do.

For your wife, the best thing you can do is be there. It will be the best thing for the both of you in the long run.

So very sorry to learn of your loss of baby Forrest. Grieving, anger, sadness, sorrow, tears - all are normal and expected for what you and your wife are going through. Please do not try to "stuff" these emotions down and not let them be expressed.

If needed, get a therapist or a counselor - to help you talk through all the hurt and pain you are experiencing.

Even as a Christian, such counseling and the ability to say how you are feeling to someone makes a great deal of difference. If you want help that is "free" find a church with a Stephen Ministry program and you might can get on with a Stephen Minister who will meet with you and talk things over once a week - at least.

Or maybe some Freeper will be that "listener" for you.

But your wife needs that support also.

You have just experienced such a tragedy that it boggles the mind.

The truth is that God is very near, especially near to the brokenhearted - so we know He is right there with you by His Holy Spirit - and you have already shown evidence of HIs presence with you.

He will carry you and your wife through this.

And there will come a day when you won't have the pain, sorrow, and hurt that you have right now. It will ease.

Getting from here to there is what is so tough - and it is no shame to say you need help to make it through this dark night.

Prayers going up for you both.

Prayers sent. It appears that Forrest was too precious to be contaminated by this world.

I will pray for you as I had to have others pray for me, and still do. No one will ever know your sorrow unless they walk your path. May God make this terrible burden bearable for you and your family. You will know Forrest when you see him again. God be with you.

I hope God lifts the weight from your heart. Forrest is surely in a joyful place now, and is doubtlessly very happy. I am very sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry for your loss.
Tonight I meet with my weekly prayer-group. Will put you on our prayer list, and I have also prayed for you just now.
Oh, Lord, please grant "Redcloak" and his family peace, and help them to find comfort through faith in your infinite mercy and Love. Please comfort them, Lord. I ask this through the Precious Blood of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

First let me tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I worked Maternity in a Regional Hospital for the Military. We had too many situations like yours. I held many a parent in my arms while they heard news like this. To say you are in shock is true. I always cried right along with those parents. I don't know how anyone could not, and those Docs and nurses that didn't do it in front of the families.. did it in the break rooms. I'm so sorry...

You are deeply in the grieving process. I know there are not adequate words I can say to help you through this, but there are a couple sites I can send you to.

The first one is the one dealing with how to handle it with Siblings. It is very well done, (written by two Doctors who specialize in this field) and will answer your immediate questions in handling this with your daughter.

Site for dealing with Children and grief

This next one is for you.. It will explain the grieving process, and give you links to visit to help you through this.

Healing Hearts - Bereaved Parents

Lots of prayers going out for your family right now. If there is ever anything I can do.. please don't hesitate to ask.

May God comfort you and hold you in his arms during this most difficult time.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I will pray for you and your wife and family. There is noithing harder than losing a child. Just be there for each other, and let God take care of the rest. Remember, He sees the whole picture. We don't. Just know that God loves us. God bless you and your family.

However much this hurts me, it hurts God worse.

That is such a true statement. I've often wondered who comforts Him? While His only Son was dying on the cross, who comforted the Father? Who comforted the Father while He had to turn away from the Son?

I will be praying for you and your wife and daughter.
