Kyoto Paradox I:
Climate is an extremely complex, chaotic, coupled, non-linear, time-dependent system
with massive, external, naturally-occuring inputs and wide variability in measurables.
Therefore,
To say we can control it by tweaking a small set of factors is ridiculous on its face.
Kyoto Paradox II:
Climate is an extremely complex, chaotic, coupled, non-linear, time-dependent system
with massive, external, naturally-occuring inputs and wide variability in measurables.
Therefore,
You can no more successfully predict the outcome of doing something than you can of
not doing something. In other words, the impact of trying to "fix" a climate problem
is as unpredictable as the impact of ignoring it.

Well when NBC News plays a quote from Rush calling the President 'George W Al Gore', you can bet it grabbed someone's attention. It doesn't matter if Rush was reading a letter from a listener. Notice that NBC focused solely on the fact that Rush said it. And that, in itself, was a huge attention getter- more negative than positive, I'd guess.

Rush seems to be frustrated that Bush is not Caesar. I mean, even if your #1 concern is that the environuts get ammo supporting global warming, this report is a needle in that particular haystack.

This is fantastic news. If he is distancing himself from it because of conservative reaction, great. If it happened because the beaurocrats snuck something through that is being repudiated now that is even better.
But the best would have been for there to never have been an administration report saying global warming exists, is big, and is man made.
But I'll take it.

The thing about this WHOLE story, including Rush's going on and on about it, is that NOBODY outside we news fiends every HEARD of it. The enemy has heard about it, and they will hammer Bush and the entire GOP mercilessly as a result of it. It was like giving the entire discredited global warming hysteria movement a transfusion when they were dying on their own.
I expect the left to push this to near the top of their political agenda, since they have nothing else going for them. It eas a huge mistake to let this report see the light of day.
To: Trust but Verify
Of course, you and rintense and the cooler heads on this board were correct. They're better looking than we are, too....

I'd like to give Nick Danger a little credit here.
Unlike the hoards of Bush-Bashers who shot from the hip and cried the sky was falling, Nick actually went to the EPA's web site, read the document, and posted the relevent excerpts as well as the final conclusion: the document is nothing but a bureaucratic brush-off using the enviro-nazi's own language against them.
Thanks, Nick.

"I love the movie star woman on Gilligan's Island," Steve said gingerly."I often wonder why that smart guy could never get them off the island," The G Man mused professorially.
