"I think you're on to something," Eric said respecfully.

I still believe that this whole thing was long in the works and the administration had a choice: (1) Try to undermine and change it, running the risk of vocal defections by some of the scientists. (2) Downplay and dismiss it.
I can see why #2 is a good option. I'd hate to hear the NY Times articles of the "supressing" of the report, etc.
"The bureaucracy" -- bwahahaha.

Rush has already "redacted" his remarks from yesterday.
I guess tomorrow we can expect his "I was just trying to get you thinking" speech.

Yesterday's kneejerks be gone. One example
OK, this is the final straw! Bush is either the biggest fraud in history, or he's been replaced by a duplicate controlled by the Dems. He won't get my vote again.

"Bush Bashers clean the egg off your face!!!" LOL
I was so ticked off at Bush over this yesterday that I was going to join in on the Bush Bashing.
Glad I waited to hear from the man himself.

It sounds to me like someone in the Administration received the message that most conservative talk show hosts sent.

"The bureaucracy" -- bwahahaha. It is good to institute some knowledge of the sinfulness of bureaucrats and government indeed.

I sure appreciate the calm, collected way you conduct yourself on this board, Howlin. Of course, you and rintense and the cooler heads on this board were correct. Thanks for keeping your powder dry while others go off the deep end.

After he waved off the report, he launched into a vigorous statement that he will never, ever agree to Kyoto,it's bad for America,it will damage the economy and we can affect the environment in positive ways, with new technology. Wonder how Rush and his lemmings feel now?
To: Howlin
To clarify, I doubt you even know what my position on that report was/is.

This WAS your quote, wasn't it?
Free hint for the President: when pretty much all conservatives disagree with you, you might want to consider that it's not a conspiracy, and that you might be wrong.
All conservatives do NOT disagree. Apparently only the ones who NEED to disagree did. Nobody else thought it was worth mentioning.

It sounds to me like someone in the Administration received the message that most conservative talk show hosts sent."That'll happen on a cold day in hell," Joe said icily.
