I'm watching.

I didn't know if I would watch. I thought the NY Times article today about the phone calls from those who were trapped was tasteless. I didn't read it.

I'm angry again. Not that I've stopped being angry, but I'm angry again. At this point I have two new (for me) thoughts.

The first is that President Bush (so far missing from the show) blew it big time. We were all united on that day, and he has let the political midgets separate us again; and we've really done nothing to avenge the massacre, and little to prevent the next one.

My second thought is that I've seen and heard a lot of nameless Americans so far. Black, White, Hispanic, Asian - I've seen no Arabs. None. These are mostly random pictures taken during the chaos. I've seen lots of Orthodox Jews. Surely there are more Arabs living in NYC than Orthodox Jews? No Arabs.

Have you noticed the numbers of people on different threads who seem to be inviting not only distrust of President Bush but hatred of all sorts? Hate all Muslims, hate Hispanics, (and on the thread I just left) hate French?

It is beginning to creep me out. Instead of policy discussions we just get a lot of comments about dropping bombs on Paris or Mecca. One would almost think there is an organized effort to make the right look like a bunch of ignoramuses.

Where I was.

Every detail, every minute, and every second of that day came back... and so did the tears, the continual crying, the sorrow, and the anger.

Right on. I'm watching the HBO special right now. Makes me want to nuke every Muslim country there is. Obviously we can't do that, but the brutal truth is that we are going to have to get ruthless. Before this ends, we will do things that will make international rights groups, liberals, and other undesireables positively scream. Unfortunately, our enemies will have to be hit hard where they live and we have to learn to disregard the weak-sisters who want to subvert the war effort.

Sure, I think a lot of those types are "seminar posters", sent here to do nefarious deeds. I've yet to see one of them explain the tactical or strategic gains that would result from nuking Mecca, or how such an act would dissuade Al Qaeda operatives already in place in the US from continuing their campaign of terror. But it will continue to be advocated by twenty or so Nimrods per day.

It is now on here on the West Coast. It is horrifying to watch, but I am so glad they are doing this. We need to be reminded just how despicable this act was, and that it could happen again.
God Bless HBO for showing the truth of that day. I am taping it, and with tears in my eyes and a lump as big as Texas in my throat I thank God for the bravery of the rescue workers and the Mayor and the leadership of President Bush!

This is a tribute to those who died, and to the brave men and women who risked their lives to save everyone that they could.

I, too, know exactly where I was, what I was doing etc. We need to remember. Americans are so good at picking up
and going on. We need to remain angry and focused. Ridding the world of this cancer needs to be the priority.

I don't have HBO anymore, (stupid cable company that decided to change to digital and charge $120 a month for "basic" cable that included HBO). I stuck with the old basic cable, but can't get any premium channels now. At least I still get Fox News!

I'm going to have to ask around at work and see if somebody taped it. Do you know if it will be replayed or was this a one night special?

I just caught the showing on HBO West. Again...this has enraged me and I kept waiting for ANYTHING with President Bush in it. NOPE. Like he was not even a figure during that time. I will say however that otherwise...this was very well made and they did 9-11 justice on many levels that some of the other 9-11 documentaries cut out.

HBO should replay this as much as they replay all of their other specials as a reminder for the brain dead in this country.

Watching the special, all I could do was feel the numbing horror of that day all over again. Yes, there was great anger in me too, but I am rather shocked at how some of the threads are turning into.......yes, you guessed it......bashing of President Bush!
The President is traveling abroad right now to help shore up our allies for our continuing fight against terror, he told us from the beginning this would not be the kind of war we are used to seeing, yet the second quessing continues.

Although I did watch the special, I did NOT need to do so in order to stand solidly behind the President of the United States and with my fellow Americans. I will NEVER need a 'reminder' of this country's worst attack. It is NOT our President who has squandered an "opportunity" to unite this country, but his enemies, gimmies and the press, who have suceeded in dividing us again. I however will always be on my country's side, and nothing that the gimmies or the press can do, will ever change that.
