The United States has intercepted a new series of frightening messages that suggest al Qaeda is planning a second wave of attacks that would be as big or bigger than Sept. 11 and cause vast numbers of American casualties. The messages, which are not specific, have come to light amid the furor that has erupted over a parallel series of communications that were received before Sept. 11 and were so vague that U.S. officials couldn't connect the dots.

Actually, Zubaydah is probably singing like a canary.

Anyhoo, everyone should know that the Al Qaeda are planning another Big Attack. However, everyone should be just as prepared for smaller scale commando operations or suicide attacks conducted against schools, hospitals, police stations, or elements of the electric or water grid.

I agree with you so much, it ruined my morning! It is not just winning they are after, but destruction and total annihilation of all things not important to them. Anything important to anyone but them is something to be swatted at like a gnat. They remind me of that one fly that keeps buzzing but you just can't kill the darn thing.

I saw that Dan Rather was calling the media reporting on Bush "soft". I wish some people would count how many times since 9/11 that Rather himself has reported Pres. Bush being "hammered" on a subject. i.e.:

Dan Rather: "President Bush was hammered today on...(fill in environment, foreign policy, domestic policy). Rather is one of the idiots that can "hammer" a Republican and then define the coverage as "soft". Of course, he also defines Clinton as "honest".

I have some problems with GWs way of doing things. But I am pretty sure that he would never behave like Hillary. Had his car struck someone he would have stopped and made sure the victim was taken care of. And he would never have directed his driver to run a roadblock in the first place. Bush may have his faults but he is a decent man, maybe that is his problem. He is too good natured. Or he is one heck of an actor.
