Prayer Request-My Sister's Terminal Lung Disease

My sister was diagnosed with a rare lung disease on Friday, Interstatial Lung Disease. The prognosis is terminal. She is only 29 and in otherwise good health.

Appearantly, an infection, the nature of which is unknown, is producing a constant state of pneumonia. Since the doctors don't know the nature of the infection, they can not stop it. It is causing scar tissue to form all throughout the lungs. Scar tissue isn't very elastic and will not permit oxygen to travel from the lungs to the blood.

End result is that the doctor said in 1 to 2 years she will suffocate.

Requesting prayers for her and any medical info that could be of help/leads in stopping this infection before it ruins the remaining lung tissue.

Our prayers for your sister. Might consider experimental drugs & herbal medicine. Doctors had given up on my father, told him he had to have his leg amputated. He went on a program of his own, ended up curing himself.

Sarah has been in the Cardiac Care Unit for a few weeks now. She was looking better for a while, but now seems to be slipping away. She has been on a ventalator, drug paralized and on heavy morphine since Saturday. The CO2 levels keep edging up and she just can't seem to get enough O2 in her system. Doctors just don't know what to do anymore, but aren't giving up.... Very sad. Can't quite picture life without my little sister. :(((

I am one of those who have been praying for you and your sister without posting. I have been following your story. It is so sad and frustrating that the doctors don't know the cause. Miracles do happen, though, and I am praying that God will grant one for your sister.

Lord, please open your healing arms and bring Sarah back to health. Force her lungs to stop destroying themselves and reverse and heal the existing damage Lord! I ask you for my little sisters life. Please hear our prayers and save my little sister....if it is Your will, please let it be done. If not, please be with her, comfort her and have mercy on her suffering. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
