Prayer Request-My Sister's Terminal Lung Disease

My sister was diagnosed with a rare lung disease on Friday, Interstatial Lung Disease. The prognosis is terminal. She is only 29 and in otherwise good health.

Appearantly, an infection, the nature of which is unknown, is producing a constant state of pneumonia. Since the doctors don't know the nature of the infection, they can not stop it. It is causing scar tissue to form all throughout the lungs. Scar tissue isn't very elastic and will not permit oxygen to travel from the lungs to the blood.

End result is that the doctor said in 1 to 2 years she will suffocate.

Requesting prayers for her and any medical info that could be of help/leads in stopping this infection before it ruins the remaining lung tissue.

Dear Lord please pour out Your miraculous healing power on Griffin's sister and give comfort, faith and peace to all of her family and friends. Amen. Griffin, do all of the research that you can on the Internet. I'm a medical transcriptionist and have found tons of medical information by doing some of my research there. It's also wonderful that your sister has turned her life over to the One who died (for her) and was raised from the dead (for her) and ever lives to make intercession (for - her.) He is faithful and true and will carry her through this crisis. She is fortunate to have you as a brother who is not afraid to come and ask for prayer from brothers and sisters in Christ.

Brother, sorry I missed this. We will certainly pray and fast for your sister. Praying that God's will be done and that she be blessed and comforted and healed in the Lord.

I am down in Texas helping one of my brother's with his computer company. He was diagnosed with Lymphnoma last year and has been greatly weakened by the therapy. Initial prognosis is hopeful, but they are saying it will be several years before they can give him a clean bill of health ... with the possibility that it could come back again at any time because of the involvement with theklymph system.

griffin, I join these chorus of voices lifted in prayer on behalf of your dear sister and for you. Prayer is so powerful and our Lord is so loving, compassionate and good. He sees this trial your sister is facing and is already moving and bringing about her healing in order to show Himself strong on her behalf and for the glory and honor of His Name. In this situation He will do above and beyond all that we could ever ask or think. God bless you and your sister and may you keep strong in your faith during this difficult time.

Man, I love those verses. I love John's Gospel. I think about the courage Christ had to say what He came to say...even as they picked up stones and came at Him! "No one can snatch them out of my hand". Awesome. Thank you Lord...thank you.

Yes...for your Glory Lord, if it is your will. Please grant Sarah and our family strength to endure this and, if it is your will, the wisdom and soft hearts to recognize your healing hand. Whatever the outcome Lord, please grant us the strength that our love and faith in you will not be shaken, but will grow. You know what is best for you children, but please heal my sister, Sarah, if it is your will. Restore her lungs. For your Glory Lord, restore her lungs and let all know of the power of Your Name.
