Prayer Request-My Sister's Terminal Lung Disease

My sister was diagnosed with a rare lung disease on Friday, Interstatial Lung Disease. The prognosis is terminal. She is only 29 and in otherwise good health.

Appearantly, an infection, the nature of which is unknown, is producing a constant state of pneumonia. Since the doctors don't know the nature of the infection, they can not stop it. It is causing scar tissue to form all throughout the lungs. Scar tissue isn't very elastic and will not permit oxygen to travel from the lungs to the blood.

End result is that the doctor said in 1 to 2 years she will suffocate.

Requesting prayers for her and any medical info that could be of help/leads in stopping this infection before it ruins the remaining lung tissue.

Monkey, thanks for the advise. She has the links now. We are getting 2nd and 3rd opinions. The Dr. she went to see was Dr. Ragu in Seattle Washington...suppost to be one of the best in the world on this sort of stuff.

The Lord has the power to heal as well as to grant us everlasting life. I remember one passage where the disciples were not able to cure some one in His name, and our Lord Himself cured her, casting out a demon. And Jesus commented that that particular demon could only be overcome with much prayer and fasting.

You can rest assured that your sister is in my prayers. I know that you are very avidly looking for medical help for your sister, but I have a suggestion. Please look into intravenous hydrogen peroxide therapy. It has worked miracles. William Campbell Douglass II, M.D. (this is the correct spelling) swears by it; he used it many times at his clinic in Africa to save the lives of people with various serious infections, and is using it today in his practice in the U.S. There are several clinics in the U.S. that offer this therapy. PatriciaRuth...thank you ...AND Everyone else for their prayers.

I just got back from about a 6 day stay in Idaho, praying and meeting with my sister, Sarah. She was in the Cardiac Care unit and was very questionable for a time..she seems to have cleared the hurdle now in the short term...but the long term is still scary. We did a lot of praying and talking about Christ over the past week. She is doing pretty good I think.

Anyway, she can sit up now again and is starting to come off the Bi-PAP machine and back onto an oxygen mask. The next step beyond the Bi-PAP would have been the ventilator...not a nice alternative. She might be going home again in a week or two.

Anyway, thank you all again!

Lord, You are aware of all the prayers we have offered up for my sister. Lord, please hear those prayers for Charleen too. Lord, give Charleen a heart for You so that she may grow in faith and love for You Lord. Holy Spirit, guide Charleen to the true meaning of scripture and to live a life that leads to You. If it is Your will to heal Charleen, Lord, Please stretch out the healing hand that only You can wield, and wipe this disease from Charleen's and Sarah's lungs. If it is not Your will that this be done, please have mercy on them and their families so as the suffering will be minimized....but Lord, we are hurt but not crushed..our faith will not be shaken. We trust in You Lord...please be merciful and let Your saints live for You....Thank You for hearing my prayers. Thank You for Your sacrifice of blood for our sins. In Christ's name, Amen.
