President Bush spoke to the press late this afternoon from the Western Whitehouse, confirming reports that both Israel and Arafat have agreed on a way to end the stand off at Arafat's headequarters. Arafat has agreed to hand over six wanted terrorists to US and British officials while the Israelis have agreed to let Arafat free and to pull out of Ramallah. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thanks for the entire The Crisis quote , Miss Marple. When I was in high school choir, we sang that quote, and I was trying to recall all of the words! I had most of them after all of these years!
Now it brings tears to my eyes. Funny how so many years later that beautiful saying still applies, and now it makes much more sense to me than it did in high school.

Laura's dress was beautiful as was she. And I, for one, am especially grateful that she chose such a dynamic dress and color. Helps justify my horrible pictures because you can at least tell who she is because of that dress!

LOL! I was just going to post a note that I sang that in my 9th grade choir; it was in the fall of 67 or the spring of 68. Maybe it was popular for schools because of our involvement in Vietnam. I just remember that it was a lovely arrangement of that piece by Thomas Paine. I would love to find the music to it. By any chance, did your choir also sing an arrangement of one of the Old Testament writings of Isaiah? I'm trying to remember the words; I just remember one line where there was a crescendo with the words "A highway shall be there". Does that sound at all familiar?

I saw that one with Poppy laying on the ground and Millie and the puppies with their heads laying on him. It was SO CUTE! It was on a very large expanse of grass; was it at the White House? I can only assume that one of those puppies was Spotty!
