Phil Valentine of 1510 WLAC AM radio reported that Don Sundquist, the Governor of Tennessee, has called up the Tennessee National Guard and has armed them with rifles and live ammunition in response to the Tennessee House Of Representatives suspending the House Rules in anticipation of a vote on the state income tax this evening. Governor Sundquist is using the National Guard to scare of and keep people from protesting the vote on an unconstitutional state income tax. Protesters have been successful in defeating the income tax vote three times in the past three years. Phil Valentine and others are encouraging people to show up and voice their opinions tonight as well as bring a camcorder to tape the proceedings outside the state capitol.

Damn. We couldn't allow citizens to petition their government or ask for their voice to be heard, could we.
The legislators want the publics money to play with and they are bound and determined to TAKE it.

I believe that this is exactly the scenario for which the 2nd Amendment was created. The Governor of Tennessee should thus change his name to H.R.H. George III.

This sounds like bullstuff to me. Is this Valentine guy legit, or a radio muckraker?
To: The Magical Mischief Tour
This is very real. Governor Sundquist wants an income tax in the worst way and knows that he has to keep people from protesting the vote outside the State Capitol.
The vote will be some time this evening. House leader, Jimmy Naifeh a Democrat from Covington, TN, has told House members to be ready for a long night in session.

Phil Valentine is definately legitimate. He is the guy who broke the story about Al Gore and his night of partying with a motorcycle gang and having sex with a motorcycle gang chick...all while being married to Tipper.
