This sounds like bullstuff to me. Is this Valentine guy legit, or a radio muckraker?

Phil Valentine is definately legitimate. He is the guy who broke the story about Al Gore and his night of partying with a motorcycle gang and having sex with a motorcycle gang chick...all while being married to Tipper.

Is this Valentine guy legit, or a radio muckraker? Hardly the latter. (I've interviewed him as a newscaster in Knoxville.) He and his co-host sponsored a spontaneous demonstration last summer when the TN Legislature tried to sneak the same thing through. The pro-tax forces are quaking over the thought of a similar horn-honking protest happening again, and hope to head it off at the pass.
The whole damn thing's unconstitutional, but if they can pass it, it will have to be "undone." And trust me, my foes and friends, once it's entrenched, it will NEVER LEAVE.
The federal income tax (1916) was temporary...withholding (1942)was temporary...Social Security (1936) was never supposed to be more than 2%.
Once they get their hooks in, the hooks go nowhere but deeper. The really sad part is that Tennessee, one of only nine states without an income tax, is trashed by the other 31 for fighting so fiercely against one.
Maybe it's envy....

Valentine is legit. There is no doubt that the governor here will do exactly that to get an income tax passed. The point is temporarily moot as the Senate has adjoruned for the day without a vote.

s this Valentine guy legit, or a radio muckrake< P>Valentine has kept the people informed when Sundquist has tried to run his income tax through the legislature in secret. V has brought the people into the street and killed the tax three times to date. Now Sund is threatening to shoot the protesters.
