Much has been said about the "Porta-Potty War" and not enough credit has been given to those stalwart individuals who took on that difficult and challenging task of protecting and defending our porta-potties from the incursion of the unwashed hoards and pro-terrorist supporters. Everyone who manned "porta-potty" duty deserves recognition and a medal -- The Order of the Porta-Potty Defender. Kudos to them all.

I wish I could have been there. I have experience defending assigned PoPs at the Taste Of Chicago. Too bad you weren't able to get the wagons circled completely. It would have solved alot of the problems. Sounds like you had a great time anyway.

This deserves a big DTTT BTTT! (don't ask me what the "D" stands for) ... I'd stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you Patriotic DC FReepers anytime ... anywhere, even if it is in front of a porta-potty on a August afternoon! Eagles up! You guys are the BEST!

Great story Angelwood ... Hugs, 2T &;-)

Incredible. Why couldn't the police have provided more of a presence while there was such a clear point of conflict?

Congratulations on a job well done.

Next time have a strict rule that no one enters one of our porta-potties without first reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and the 2nd Amendment. Between principle and ignorance, the commies won't be able to manage it. Station a couple of burly militia types in camo at the doors to enforce.

I’m having so much fun reading this, I thought I would add my two cents worth here and give an account of the “POP Wars”

I started watching the bathrooms because near them were patriotic signs that we put up, including one that read “ Traitors and Cowards rally “ with an arrow pointed to show the way. At one point one of the great unwashed tried to move this sign so that the arrow was pointed at us. This guy tried this a couple of times. I finally said to myself to stay near the signs to keep an eye on them. Because the POP was a focal point and the signs were near them these people gave up on the signs and to go after the POP.

My wife joined me in watching the POP along with several others. My wife did such a good job that she almost kept an undercover police officer out of them, that was until his partner told her who they were. The whiners just would not take no for an answer. One guy was trying to link football with using the POP by asking if we were New England Patriots fans, and since we are not Patriots fans that we should not be able to use them either.

Some of the people from the Pro-Arab rally tried to use them but they were refused. So of course they started calling us racist for preventing them from using the POP’s. Two morons asked if this was the KKK rally. I told them the KKK rally was across the street. When one teacher (if we can truly call her that) was told no she said the was public property and we said true but the POP’s were PRIVATE property and she didn’t have any ID that proved she could use them and to leave. She then went to a member of the press and asked her to get our names. Only one of us actually gave a name. That was YourAdHere. But it wasn’t his real name that he gave. The name he gave was Dick Goesinya, for some reason this member of the press didn’t get the joke.

All and all my wife and I had fun down there even though we ended missing most of the speakers because we were so busy watching the POP.

Sad to say, we allowed some of those with hard-luck stories, children and elderly to use the facilities and found that they abused the privilege by urinating on the seats, throwing garbage and bottles in to reduce capacity, tearing off toilet paper and sticking it everywhere, and rendering the only handicapped station we had useless and distasteful by urinating on the TP, seat and floor.

These people are pigs. Not only that, but they're irresponsible pigs-- they lost three kids during the rally and had to broadcast announcements for people to look for them. Sheesh. You can kind of see it happening one time, but three times in 2 1/2 hours?

Every one of you Patriot Rallyers are brilliant, and so courageous! I'm so proud of you I could bust! And thanks for the stories about the port-o-potty wars! These stories belong in the history books! Hooray for the Washington Police, too!

Thank you for posting this thread, Angelwood. I stood several "Watches" on the front line of the Porta-Potty war, and I came away from each one just a little more determined to not let these uncouth vermin have their way with us any more.

BTW, I was not aware that the handicapped potty had been trashed. Too bad we didn't apprehend the scumbag that did that!

Next time we'll be better prepared, and more alert to the tactics these low life critters use.

Angelwood -- This thread is a keeper! Thank you for all the work it took to put it together!

I didn't expect, however, that you or we would have to defend ourselves from other Freepers. It is interesting that some would judge from the comfort of their 'puter chair.

Not all the hate that was directed our way, came from the Potty-War. Just our presence was enough. Also, not all the hatred directed at us came from Arabs/Muslims/or their sympathizers. There were plenty of others who took great pleasure in harassing us.

They came expecting everything for free -- no, they actually demanded to use our porta-potties rather than walk across the street to the ones provided for them.

Well it's in the constitution....isn't it? I believe it's right after the amendment that says no one should be offended.

It was nice to meet you at the dinner prior to the rally. Donna and I had a good time. I didn't know there was such a fuss going on about the porta-potties. Check post 12 by Ripplefire. The black pipe by her head is a vent and if you drop a rock down that while someone is in there it makes a splash on their a$$. That might have been a good way to solve the problem. :)

One person said they had a medical condition, unpronounceable, of course, and we should let them in...

Uromysotisis? (from Seinfeld) :^)

While not a funny situation, a funny story nonetheless. Kudos to the Defenders of the Johns!

Thanks so very much for this report. I am saving them all so that I can help let folks in my area as well as my email lists know just what these folks (ah creatures) are really like and the means they will go too. You showed such wonderful leadership and courage! I will never forget this rally as well as my 16 year old daughter will never forget it. God Bless America and people like you and Kristinn!
