I had the pleasure today to briefly speak to a Dayton, Ohio resident who has guts. He is 67-year-old Ronald Lackie who on Saturday confronted a group of 50 pro-Palestinian anti-American &**&&$#s, including economic professor Ribhi Daoud.
According to the Dayton Daily News, Lackie tore up (poor baby) Daoud's little protesting sign. Perhaps that wouldn't have happened if the pole from the sign had not struck and bloodied Lackie. Gee, how did that happen?
The confrontation began with Lackie suggesting from inside his minivan that the protestors were wrong. Duh, it doesn't a genius to know that the violence will stop when the terrorist murderers stop killing innocent civilians at pizza parlors. He gave them a simple message: You are wrong; Israel is right. They really didn't enjoy being forced to face reality and be yanked out of their parallel universe.
According to Lackie, the protestors attacked him first. They hit his hand, his arm, and then his head. He is still is disbelief that no one in the community would come to his aid. He has lived there 25 years and is now considering moving.
Lackie went to a few commercial establishments he knew to call the police, however, they were closed. When he came back to the scene, an "idiot" with a cell phone had called the police and was trying to blame the incident on Lackie, the one who was beaten and bloodied.Lackie sought emergency medical treatment, was stitched up, and went home. An attorney will be getting a call on Monday morning.
Another FReeper, grammymoon, had beaten me to the call. Lackie told me that I was the "second one of you guys" to contact him. He has already done his first lurking.
If anyone in the Dayton area can get the name of the group who organized the protests or any direct information about what happened, our new honorary FReeper could use your help.

Did this happen in Tiny Town? What's with the munchkin cop?

Applause for Mr. Lakey, the bold and fearless type of man that has made our country great!!!

Mr Lackie, if you're lurking, please be comforted that there are FReepers all around the Dayton area. I am about 6 miles away from you. Thanks for taking a stand for Israel. How ironic that Palestinian defenders become so violent as they decry the violence of the Israelis. Obviously your point of view will never get a fair shake from the Dayton Daily. ( I cancelled our subscription to that filthy rag years ago.) Free Republic is my source for news. Please join us here as often as you can.
God bless you. Thanks for your courage and your willingness to stand for truth.

For sure. The down side is that now the UN will want to send observers to make sure he doesn't massacre any other freedom loving as*holes.
To: Budge
So how do we send Mr. Lackie some flowers, make him pinatas that look like nutty protestors, or buy him a round (or three)?
To: doug from upland
what I would like to know is where were the police. Normally there are always police present when a large crowd gathers.
To: Faith
Mr. Lackie -- YOU ROCK, SIR ! ! we're gonna have to fight these bastards sooner or later.
my vote is for sooner.
sure hope you sign up on FR and join us !

"How could some individual become so disrespectful to our rights?" Daoud asked. "For someone to stop and threaten us and attack us, this is indeed shocking." I don't know, Daoud. Perhaps you would prefer it if Americans show up to your demonstrations wearing bomb belts and carrying a few pounds of old rusty nails to demonstrate among you 'palestinian-style?'

,...While stressing that there is no justification in terrorist acts, Dr. Daoud expressed the "religious-political sensitivity" of those in the Arab world.I note that the use of double talk is one thing that we in the U.S. did not have to teach Muslims.
To: wirestripper
"religious-political sensitivity"I hope the Dayton area pro-Palestinian demonstrators are "sensitive" enough to keep away from Wright-Patterson AFB.
There are 18 Daoud listings in OH, most near Dayton and Cincinnati, according to Yahoo.com. I wonder if any of Ribhi Daoud's relatives were at the pro-Palestinian rally.

Isn't anyone in the least bit concerned that, according to this article, demonstrator Pamela Eissa's sandal was broken during the scuffle with Mr. Lackie? I for one am outraged. Man's inhumanity to man must stop. Stand up for the sandal!

Way to go, Ron!
Thanks for the post and the ping! :O)

Great photos!! Looks like George Stephanopolus is working weekends!

This should have read"67 year old man beaten by pro-terrorists while defending freedom". What a great patriot Lackie is.
