I think it would be nice to collect a list of all of the things President Bush has accomplished thus far in his term. In an effort to provide FAIR and BALANCED coverage to President Bush's administration, I thought interested Freepers could post accomplishments, both large and small, which they appreciate.
Please do not hesitate to list EO's, roll-backs of EO's, regulation changes with which you are familiar, etc.
All positive accomplishments are welcome. If you have negative comments, please post them on the other thread. Thank you.
What I objected to was my perception regarding the comment that you needed to start a thread as if Bush didn't receive support around here.
Since I missed that other thread, that was clearly a false impression. I did not understand where you were coming from and it showed. I appreciate you bringing my mistake to my attention.
I didn't so much object to you coming to my thread this morning. I guess I get rather touchy because I have a feeling that there is a group on this forum that will not accept any criticism of Bush at all. It is not the idea that Bush can't do anything right that drives me. I think he does do good things. I have tried to take note of it when he does. It's just the perception that it seems like some feel he can do no wrong that drives me crazy.
I'll leave the thread in peace. Thanks for taking my comments in stride.

After 8 years of being nothing but cannon fodder for the preverted, rapist clintoon, we (even though I'm retired, I still say we! LOL) finally have a CinC who cares.
The very same thing can be said for the Bush haters/bashers.
How about his use of the word 'evil' whenever possible to address our enemies. Especially in Korea when, after viewing that hatchet house where US GIs were murdered he said, "And people wonder why I call them evil."

It's just not that hard to find STRAWS when you start out looking for them.
And it's just not that hard to find STRAWS when you have a hissy fit when any politican doesn't do EXACTLY like you want him to.
There are a lot of people on this site that never were for Bush, never will be for Bush, and wish something bad would happen to him.
Something WILL happen to him if they have their way; if they have their way, we'll have a Democratic president in 2004; that will REALLY show us, won't it?
ONE YEAR. He's been in office ONE YEAR, and these people are not willing to wait to see exactly what Bush can do.
Now, Class, what does that tell us?
It tells us that 1) they never supported him in the first place and more than likely worked against him; 2) that they were just looking for something to pin on him so they could come out of the closet, or:
3) They would be saying this about ANYBODY that was in the Oval Office.
Did it ever occur to you that the "other side," myself included, just might...........MIGHT believe that there are those on this forum that will never accept anything Bush does? Namely, the Patsies, the Brownies and the Keyesters. And the libertarians, of course.

11. Appointed John Negroponte -- an unindicted high-level Iran Contra figure to the post of United Nations Ambassador.
12. Abandoned a campaign pledge to invest $100 million for rainforest conservation.
13. Reduced by 86% the Community Access Program for public hospitals, clinics and providers of care for people without insurance.
14. Rescinded a proposal to increase public access to information about the potential consequences resulting from chemical plant accidents.
15. Suspended rules that would require hardrock miners to clean up sites on public lands.
16. Cut $60 million from a Boy's and Girl's Clubs of America program for public housing.
17. Proposed to eliminate a federal program, designed and successfully used in Seattle, to help communities prepare for natural disasters.
18. Pulled out of the 1997 Kyoto Treaty global warming agreement. 19. Cut $200 million of work force training for dislocated workers.
20. Eliminated funding for the Wetlands Reserve Program, which encourages farmers to maintain wetlands habitat on their property.
